heating and hot water was cut of on the 21st dec it’s now the 5th jan and still no hot water or heating I was desperate for a bath, and I purchased this. Yes it took a while to heat up but when it did oh my days I was in my element. I heated up a bath from pure cold water and the water was even to hot to get in. My legs were red The heating time would be much quicker with two. But it works and if your desperate or in need of hot water this fantastic

I live in a big old house. The long pipe run from the hot tank to my bathroom results in baths that are not quite hot enough. I had been taking warm water out of the bath then heating it in a kettle then putting it back, over and over. I was going to make something with an immersion heater element on a cable then thought there must be a product already and found this and bought it instead.This works exactly as you would expect. It has a control unit for time and temperature. It took about 45 minutes to get my bath from luke warm to hot.There are good enough instructions and clear warnings about not touching the water while the element is switched on. If it's working correctly it shouldn't electrocute or burn you.I am a single man with no kids and no vulnerable adults to care for. The electrics in our house are modern and recently tested. I don't drink and I practice mindfulness. So it's ok for ME to use it. If you are a busy parent with distractions (or a drinker) and have an older or untested electrical installation then I would suggest that this is not worth the risk.There's no indication of any UK safety standards or testing which isn't surprising. Definitely not for paddling pool use.

Two of these heat a full bath of cold water (in winter) up to hot in 1 hour

very good product. a full bath of water has been heated up abou 40 min time

I tried this twice and on the second use the plug melted after 1 and a half hours... The product claims 2 hours max is recommended. Definitely avoid this if you want to be safe! I would give zero stars if I could...
