I read, or rather consume, GIANT DAYS in these hardcovers.The wait for a new one can feel endless. The books are nicely bound, like textbooks, with thick, glossy paper, and absent those insipid, slippery covers I like to toss in the skip bin rather than have sliding all about. With how many books I get, sliding, indeed, poses a threat.GIANT DAYS, despite some mild surrealism, and beautiful cartooning, is a realistic tale following the mostly tame antics of three young women we’d all want as a college friend – Esther de Groot, Goth Princess with a softer Barbie’s figure, Susan Ptolemy, working class genius fleeing her working class town, and a future doctor we’d all rather have, because the girl is sharp—real world sharp: note how quickly she solves an Ed Gemmel-Esther-and ever-awful-Dean illegal plagiarizing scheme turned all-purpose cluster-f—k—and Daisy Wooton, the three girl’s moral heart, a heart that beats WANT when a fast-lane German freshman enters her romantic landscape.In this installment, they are no longer sharing a residence hall, suffering the perils of IKEA and broken things in their new hovel. They hit a rock show. (I loathe those things; portable toilets frighten me).Esther seems to be becoming a real person, thanks to the cleaning of grease at a baked goods shop, and even Susan can see McGraw with another woman, a nice young lass, without completely losing her s—t. This is a great series. Funny, funny, funny!! Totally love the girls and all the crazy sh—- they get themselves into! The graphics are wonderful and the facial expressions priceless…..🥰

I have several of the original comics in this compilation, but not all as my FLCS was not very consistant at the time, making this a gem. I'd like to have the rest of the run in this format. If is pleasant to hold while reading and looks good on the shelf. I hope they make more in this format.

While the package that this was shipped in I had to have it returned like 3 times to get one that wasn't all roughed up, the book itself is awesome. I love Giant Days, and the dialog in this is some of the best. Never thought one of my favorite comics would be about 3 girls in college.

This volume was every bit as enjoyable, if not more so than the first two. Great continuation of storyline and characters, smart humor, relevant and relateable issues, this time with a huge cliffhanger at the end! Impatiently waiting for volume 4 next month so I can pick up where this wild ride left off.

UGH! I CANT BELIEVE SUSAN AND MCGRAW BROKE UP!! they were such a good couple!! And why in THE SAM HELL would Esther NOT go back to school!!

As was true in the first two volumes, and in "Bad Machinery" as well, each book has some ups and downs in terms of story and interest. But when this is good, (which is most of the time), it's really good. All of the characters are coming together nicely. The three girls bonding while camping, (toward the end of the book), was an especially tightly written, well drawn, and especially amusing, chapter. This series is one of the best ones out there.

Einfach toll. Es macht immer wieder Spaß den drei Mädels durch die Höhen und Tiefen ihres Lebens zu folgen. Topp Comic, ideal zum Abschalten.

El formato de dibujo es muy bueno, muero por saber en que seguirá con ésta historia. Lo recomiendo en formato fisico!
