Works with MBP
I only ordered this device because I needed to update firmware on a Nikon D5 that only read XQD memory cards. In the past I tried a much more expensive XQD reader that would not work with my MBP, so I returned it and decided to use CFexpress cards instead. When I needed to update the firmware on a newly purchased Nikon D5, I again found myself needing an XQD reader. This reader worked great! I was able to download the file to the XQD card and update the camera. I'll probably never use it again, but at this price, I'll keep it just in case.

Works well.
Works very well with my XQD card and it supplements my other reader that has the USB-A connector.

Did not work
The “XQD” font on the reader isn’t even the same as the photo. My computer did not read it at all. I tried on a Macbook and a Lenovo laptop. As soon as I put my XQD card into another reader and connected it to the laptop, it was able to read it.

Wish it had a USB…
But otherwise works very very well.

good versatility
This reader works great! I needed a reader for my XQD/SD card, and it also has other ports for standard SD cards. It even has a SD card that can accommodate a microSD card, which is super handy!

Does what it's supposed to do.
I got to photograph an event and the editor wanted me to hand them my XQD card so he can import directly from the card. Turns out he didn't have a card reader and neither did I and his laptop didn't have a USB-C port so my camera cable wouldn't work on his laptop.Long story short, I've used this card reader a couple of times since that happened and I love that it's able to read the XQD as well as a regular SD card as those are the two formats I use when shooting events.Card reader seems fast and it's always in my camera bag now.

Unexpected Card Reader Speed Difference
I have two very similar card readers. One reads only XQD cards, while the other reads both XQD and SD cards. For some reason I don't understand, the single-slot reader transfers data faster, even when the SD slot in the other reader isn't in use.

Stopped working.
Unfortunately I have to update my previous positive review. After 2 weeks it stopped working halfway through downloading a set of pictures. I returned the unit and decided to spend the extra money for the Sony version. I’m happy to say the Sony is working very well and very fast.
