I use this USB 3.0 switch to control two laptops with one keyboard and mouse, and it works exactly as I needed. Setup was truly plug-and-play with no drivers or external power required, and the included USB 3.0 cables were a nice bonus. Switching between laptops is quick with a simple button press, and the LED indicators clearly show which computer is active. There’s a slight 1–2 second delay for the laptop to recognize the keyboard and mouse after switching, but that’s due to the laptops, not the switch itself.

Game changer. I have this mounter under my desk and use it to switch my keyboard between my work laptop and gaming pc. No issues so far.

I used this switch to share a keyboard between two desktops. When I shut down my computer and switched to the 2nd computer, I observed my fans were still lit on the computer that was off. I unplugged the computer and the were still lit. I unplugged the the switch and the went off. To prove it was leaking voltage, I plugged a battery charger into the source for the second computer. The charger lit up!

Works as advertised. USB 3.0 is a must-have these days. Only downside is the item was slightly scuffed out of the box, but I keep this hidden under my desk for easy out-of-sight switching, so it's not a big deal for me. Would be nicer to have some better protection for the item that doesn't get it so scuffed up when it is brand new.

To keep my usb port from wearing out I use this switch to connect a usb memory stick to either of two computers. I chose this method as plugging and unplugging the memory wore out one usb port in 9 months.The switch works to prevent contact wear.I chose this one as it comes with two usb wires. If the wires are bought individually they would cost $6 each.I have had it only 2 days, and can not comment on how wear resistant it is until after January 2027.
