Garden Tools Set, 4 Pieces Gardening Tool Kit,Include Garden Hoe,Shovel,Trowel,Weeder Puller for Backyard Weeding, Loosening, Farm Planting

This set of hand tools for the gardener have a lot going for them. First, they are made of stainless steel, so they won't be affected by rust. Second, the handles are very firmly attached and the wood is a solid hardwood. The handles appeared to be finished with some type of sealant or possibly a polyurethane clear coat. Even the small leather strap at the top is thicker than what I've seen on other gardening sets.Two of the tools are different from and better than found in most sets. First, the scoop is much larger than most sets, which can be handy when scooping potting soil from a bag into pots or transferring soil from one pot to another. Second, the wide-tined fork makes quick work of breaking up soil Sometimes, harder soils are hard to penetrate with a shovel or hand trowel; the tines on this fork slip more easily into the soil to break it up. The other two tools, the smaller trowel and the hand-held hoe are also handy, although they can be found in other sets, too.They arrived this afternoon and, as I write this, my wife is already putting them to use, preferring them over two other sets we have.

While digging up some hostas to move from one part of my yard to another, the pointed shovel tip bent back. It didn't hit any rocks, nor was it being used aggressively. I simply dug out three plants, dug three new holes elsewhere for them, and that was enough to bend the one shovel.Overall, if you're only doing EXTREMELY light gardening or you're getting this set for a child, then you should be fine. If you're going to be doing any real digging/moving of plants, then I highly suggest you look elsewhere for a better quality set.

These tools seem pretty sturdy for the average gardener. The handles are good - smooth wood and comfortable. The tools are made of a thicker steel than some other tools sold in kits.The first shovel shown in the first picture is actually more "bowl-like" as shown in the sixth picture in the listing, which is good (funny how the pictures are not consistent). I used it to get potting soil out of an extra large bag and the shape helped keep the soil from falling out of the shovel on it's way to the pot.The short handled hoe was the reason I got this specific kit. It's a rare short garden tool and the hoe style is often needed when weeding or trenching.The three tined fork is ok. Flat is not the best shape, but it works for some purposes.The only complaint I have is the welds which are a weak point in any garden tool, but I must say these welds look pretty sturdy compared to may I have seen.I say "pretty good for the average gardener" because they are good but are not the best in garden hand tools.

I'm not much of a gardener but do like to spruce up the garden area that I do have in front of my home and this set is perfect for that. You get 4 tools and all of them are very sturdy and nicely made. They are stainless so they won't rust easily. The handles are smooth wood and not too heavy, making the tools easy and comfortable to use. The fork is especially a stand out - it's strong enough to break through soil really, really well since it has long-ish prongs.My only nitpick is that it doesn't come with a case or something to put the tools in...that would be a nice touch.All in all this is a solid set for most any gardening enthusiasts of any level. It's a really good price for what you get, too. Highly recommend!

Oh these are very nice. The handles are not cushioned but the wood is very smooth. The shape fits perfectly in your hand. The weight balance is very nice. They are easy to swing and use. The metal is sturdy enough to get through your typical grass and dirt clods. If you have very tough roots, you will need heftier tools but for your average gardening needs these do a nice job.

The handles feel like real wood and the metal feels heavy. The size is also approproaite for the working in a flower bed. Overall I am happy, as they are made properly. They have come in handy weeding the from flower beds.

I was very impressed how well made and strong these 4 tools are! Really like them and using them a lot in our vegetable garden and using them to plant bushes. Highly recommend these yard/garden tools.
