Galaxy S8 Case, Clayco [Hera Series] [Updated Version] Full-Body Rugged Case with Built-in Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S8 (2017 Release) (Blue)

This is the second phone case I have ordered like this; I had the other one for over 2 years and dropped it several times and never had an issue. The only reason i had to reorder is i fell and scuffed my phone on the brick stairs and it cracked the edge of my case. Not a scratch on my phone, I highly recommend, They are cute and stylish too

You guys, I love this case - I've bought it twice.I used to buy the Droid Turbo phones which had plastic screens & to my surprise, switching over to S8 with a vanity case I cracked it in less than a month. A case was needed & the pics are of TWO years of use of the case. I just bought another one - not because anything was functionally wrong, but because I'm in a client facing position and don't want to look like a heathen!- It was less than $20- The color is true to pics.- It fits Samsung S8 perfectly.- It has dust protector ports & easy access side buttons- YOU CAN LITERALLY FLING YOUR PHONE AND IT WONT BREAK. Screen down, sideways, backwards - I have seriously been brutal on my phone and it's perfectly fine.- I can use my touch screen with the screen protector on it OR withoutA fun thing happened, about 16 months in - I guess because my pockets are warm - the screen protector came "unglued" after bubbling for months and having the same touch challenge others reported. You know what? I just took the screen cover OFF! For the last 8-12 months, it's been perfectly fine if not better with more touch sensitivity. Again, I abuse my phone - the padded case and raised front edges still means no scratches or cracks to my screen. Like magic!So if your only complaint like many is the sensitivity or look or usability of the front of the case, just take the screen protector out. Mine held up perfectly and I plan to continue to use it that way.

When I placed my order for this case, there was only one review for it and it was a 4 star review. There were almost 600 reviews for the 8+ version and they were very positive. Looking at the 80+ reviews posted now for the S8 version and the very average 3 star rating, I can only conclude that there may be some quality control issues with the production of this case and, in particular, the screen protector portion. For me, I am very happy with the case. Fit and finish are very good and I have noticed almost no difference in touch response. It's also nice looking and fairly sleek. The only minor issue I have is with the pull down menu at the top that occasionally will not want to open, but it's not common and it normally works on the second swipe.Shock protection looks good. I have no plan to drop test the case, but when I drop it accidentally (and it will happen), I will update the review. For now, this looks like a far superior case to the Otterbox case that I originally purchased and is about half the price.There are seemingly hundreds of cases out there for this phone, but this Clayco Hera is one of the very few with complete display coverage. While it's obvious that your mileage may vary on your love or hate of this case, my recommendation is that it's worth a shot.A final note. While I love my S8, it is a very fragile phone. I had mine two days and in an Otterbox case and with a screen protector when it fell from my pants pocket getting into a car. It fell no more then 24 inches and shattered on the asphalt parking lot. Whether you buy this case or another, the S8 is a phone that, more than any other I've owned, needs a good protective case, especially for the infinitely beautiful, but infinitely exposed infinity display.Update 9/10/17: Have been using this case for about a month now. Have dropped the phone twice in the month. Once was onto a carpeted floor and the other time was onto a hard tile floor. This second drop was a pretty hard impact as I tried to catch it as it was falling and ended up knocking it up into the air instead where it then fell about 6 feet onto the corner. No damage to the phone from either drop.Using the phone in the cover daily this last month, I have noticed that the side buttons, which were a little stiff early on, have become just about perfect. Also, the flip down covers for charging port and for the headphone jack are both easy to access and also seal and remain closed.However, I am dropping the rating to 4 stars. Still a very good case, still a great value, still great protection and I'd still highly recommend it, but I have noticed that the screen protector is picking up scratches from normal carrying. Looking at the display straight on, you cannot see the scratches, but at an angle, you can. I am concerned that the scratches will continue to accumulate and that eventually they will become an issue. Also, I have noticed there are certain spots on the screen protector where sensitivity is reduced. I don't find this a big problem, but in using the phone this last month, I do realize that those areas exist. Note that I do not believe that the sensitivity has gotten worse. I just think I have used the phone in the case long enough now for these areas to be recognized.

I've had this case for a few days now and really like it. It looks classy, yet is 360 protection. Yes, the curve in the cover glass makes it less sensitive to my touch, but to me it's not a biggie. I just tap or press a little harder along the outside edge to type or scroll.I wanted a case that would fit in my pockets and purses without being real bulky and it does/is. Very happy with it so far. I don't know about daily wear-n-tear yet. Only time will tell.The port covers/flaps are a bit stiff, but secure and tight fitting. I feel they will keep dust and debris out quite nicely.I'd give it a 4.5, but there's no option for partial stars. The reason for not giving it a full 5☆ is the slight loss of sensitivity along the curved side edges.I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it to friends and family. 👍

I've been using my phone case for four years. And before that, I had been using the same case for different phone for about 4 years. In those eight years, I've dropped my phone 6363748461728 times and it only broke once. And that's only because the metal pop socket ring I had on the back took the impact and shattered the back of my phone. Like taking a glass punch to a window. Still stayed with this case, still continue to drop my phone and my phone is still unbroken, chipped or scratched. Outside of the case, my phone from 2017 still looks brand new. The case itself has taken a brutal beating and still keeps my phone safe. The only reason I bought a new case recently is because my screen Protector has four years of damage on it and I wanted to start fresh again. This case does exactly what it's meant to do, protect your phone. While people are complaining about damage to the different parts of the phone case, that's Literally the whole point of having one. Without this case, your phone would've been the one screwed up. I will always buy this brand because it's genuinely good and that's hard to find nowadays. I recommend anyone else buy it too. Price is great for the quality and protection this case provides.

Muito bom produto, prático. protege bem o aparelho. Produto com encaixe perfeito, permite acesso a todas as funções, tela com toque e nitidez excelentes. Sem dúvidas é a melhor capa para celulares.

I've had mine since June 2021 and granted, the front plastic cover has some scratches now (after maybe 8-9 months of use is when they started showing) and the colour on the back is fading a bit, but this case has saved my @$$ on a number of occasions. The touch case takes a bit of getting used to when it's a new case, but all in all, if you're clumsy and if you're phone isn't already broken, this is a great, durable case for the price it is. I plan to keep buying from Clayco. :)

Le pongo 5 estrellas porque no hay más. Llevo con este teléfono unos 4 o 5 años, y ojalá hubiera conocido esta funda antes. Aparte de que es muy Bonita,el teléfono queda totalmente blindado, si es cierto que el tel se ve más grueso, pero eso en lo personal a mi no me importa, me importa que esté bien protegido. Ya se me a caído varias veces y como si nada...si es cierto que al cabo del tiempo estas fundas( y todas las fundas por buenas que sean) terminan rayadas de meterlas al bolso y del desgaste cotidiano, frente a eso no podemos hacer nada, lo importante es que este protegido...súper contenta.

La mejor funda para movil que he tenido hasta dia de hoy, son 3 piezas que se ajustan de tal manera que queda super protegido de golpes y caidas, no se desmonta en ningun momento.Super comoda de utilizar, la pantalla no pierde sensibilidad al tacto.La pieza de silicona protege los puertos de entrada de carga y auriculares. Asi que si se moja no entra agua y tampoco entra suciedad .
