Very bulky

This is a nice looking cutting board. BUT bamboo threads are constantly shedding off of it. The cutting board is inexpensive and pretty thick I like the groove around the edge. But it’s pretty irritating that bamboo threads are always coming off it. I kind of solved this problem by using a knife to cut a grid pattern into both sides. That way if a thread starts it doesn’t run very long. I oiled and beeswax coated it and that makes it better but I still find bamboo in my food often.

I use this everyday, so far so good. It's a heavy solid piece of wood, doesn't move around on counter, smells good. Just don't put it into a dishwasher. I have no splinters problem so far.
