The sand is just a -slight- bit darker than in the photo, and if you are using it to base for minis make sure to paint the base a lighter brown/tan color to make sure the sand sticks out and doesn't get too dark.

I purchase the 200g bag, the san is really fine, and the grain size is consistent. It should be effective if you are basing miniatures and want to give the effect of a sandy beat or desert. I will probably try to glue paint it for a soily effect, which it should work for. Finer than most conventionally available hobby sands or small gravels.

Good quality sand for dioramas or mini bases but a bit expensive for how much you get.

This is exactly what I needed for my miniature diorama. This is the real thing! Real miniature sand!

The sand I received was nothing like the colour shown in the picture. Wanted it for a tropical beach scene on my diarama but received a bag that appeared to be block paving sand which costs about a fiver a sack from the builders merchant. Won't return it for the sake of three quid. Threw it on the block paving so not a complete waste. Not impressed.

This sand is very, very fine and creates some wonderful effects when laid onto miniatures.It looks great when painted over and when sealed properly really adds some much needed depth to projects.

This sand is neither fine, or anywhere close to the colour in the pictures. No point sending back as it would cost me as much to post it, but what a scam. Would've gone to a garden centre if I needed such generic dark course sand as this.

This looks like nice fine beach sand in the picture its actually dark thicker grains and muddy looking . .more beach in kent than carribbean. :( wanted the color in the picture so wont be using or ever buying again

Arrived really quickly, well packaged. Sand good but not right for what I needed, can use it on something else though.
