These are really dense foam. If you've tried to use 1" these are another level of hush. No need to do water on these. just fuss with the mashed edge, working down, pull little bits apart and rub your thumbs trying to spread it open, but do it light enough you don't tear the edge. Just a light pass, most of it will fluff out, go back and rub, stretch the edge and it's easy to get the hang of dealing with smooshed ones. Alternate the panels as you build your enclosure or wall. I put 48 of these in 6's and 4's in a 10x14 room and it is so quiet in there now! If the house is all quiet, then the silence in this room is deafening haha. These will block a lot of mid to high sounds. Pyramid will block high end, for mid-range to lows you need thicker than 2" or layer with another material like felt or wool. I did make gains in deadening workshop sounds, but I learned I'll have to do corner pieces, and more than just hang foam on walls for better soundproofing. I used a gummy spray adhesive, just a line around the edges and a fat dot in the middle and none have come down in a few weeks now. Overall, I love these and probably buy this particular brand/vendor again. They are either cut with a dull blade it looks like or it's just mashed and cut, but they never fluff it out before sealing it up with vacuum. I think it took me about 35 minutes to fluff out 48 panels. I still have a couple packs of them, but once the outer plastic is open, the unopened ones expanded in a day inside their pack.

I’m extremely impressed with these 12” x 12” x 2” soundproof foam panels! The 36-pack was perfect for covering my recording area, and installation was simple—I used a mix of adhesive spray and double-sided tape, and they’ve stayed firmly in place. The wedge design not only looks professional but really makes a difference in sound clarity and echo reduction. My room now feels like a proper studio, and the overall audio quality has improved dramatically. The foam expanded nicely after opening, and the consistency across panels was great. Fantastic value for the price—highly recommend for anyone doing voiceovers, podcasts, or home recording! Unfortunately, the last order had a price increase which I'm not happy about because I plan on buying more.

They dont stick. I bought small circles that were recommended. They didn’t work. I bought double sided tape. It didn’t work. I tried gluing it on. It didn’t work. Use the troubleshooting and it tells me to quote. Remove the adhesive backing from the panels“ but these have no adhesive backing. I would like to return them, but in order to put them up there, I had to cut several of them

Easy to apply and works well to mute sound.

These are vacuum sealed, so you do have to pull them out and let them inflate for a day or so, and some of them you do still have to pull apart from themselves, as they come stuck together. They are thick, but some of the foam was damaged - thankfully that didn't matter for me - and they have an odd scent. Somewhat of a chemical smell. These do NOT have adhesive on the back, and you do have to purchase some form of adhesive spray as needed. I initially tried to attach them with glue dots (to not damage the wall) but realized that wouldn't hold well enough.

They are not tuned to particular frequencies, that's the downside, and I'll get that out of the way right up front. HOWEVER, for me personally, as an audiophile, what these provided for me was an affordable and easy way for me to find the locations in my room where some type of generalized treatment will help. I can take it from here and spend some money more confidently on custom room audio treatments.

They don't work and sticking them up is a nightmare. They cancel no noise and are not thick what so ever, any glue you try to put on them gets absorbed and you're left with the glue on your hand as you try to stick it to the wall. Save your money and get better ones. I don't know if they changed quality from everyone that gave them a 5 star, but they are not dense, they're squishy, they cancel no noise, and they are such bad quality that you could easily tear them if you're not paying attention like the good ones you can find elsewhere.

Bought these for my roommate . She said we're loud so we got these hoping the noise would diminish and it did! These are great for video creating and Content creators too! Work awesome

Got this bundle to treat a small, narrow bedroom with parallel walls. It has to be the best price per panel ratio on Amazon. I thought 36 would be more than enough, but I ended up buying 2 more packs of 12 in different colours to get away from all black. Even the first 30 (I used a half dozen in another room) made a big difference in sound - the room sounded at least 3 times bigger than actual size and the stereo image was greatly enhanced. Will also be adding some narrow strip 'bass traps' for some of the ceiling corners. If you don't have a large listening room with vaulted ceiling, irregular walls and lots of soft surfaces, a package of these will almost get you the same results for a whole lot less.

This has been a great addition to my office and really helps control the acoustics and echo + looks great.

Fantastic way to try and help with noise. Put it in my son's room, as we share a wall and when we sleep he plays online. It's not completely sound proof, as we knew it wouldn't be, but it looks amazing as an accent wall and does help reduce noise. Unfortunately, the stickers recommended to buy with this product, was a bit frustrating. We decided to apply gorilla glue to keep the foam to stay on the sticker. The sticker to the wall was perfect.
