MalcoS5R Hand Seamer

I did my first standing seam roof. I need this to make bends and press seams together.The tool worked fine as designed. And I would recommend it.My only issue is that it will scratch the surface of the painted metal. Which requires you to use touch up paint.I warped electrical tape around the jaws to prevent the scratches.

Not what I expected, the plates are composite aluminum and don’t have the same feel as the steel plated ones.

The new handles and lock mechanism are top notch. The blades are just cast aluminum, and not a high grade at that, so if they are over worked they can break easily enough, which we have done a few times. As long as you're gentle with these they are useful and comfortable to use.

This hand seamer seamer works well. We needed to reach further into aluminum sheet to make a wider bend. Can recommend.

works great above freezing, below freezing, SNAP! As in broken jaw.

It's a good tool for when I was doing a metal roof on my garage. I wonder if anyone makes a battery or pneumatic seamer ? The hands get a workout.

I bought this item and realized that it was too big for what I needed. I am sure it works well in the right application.

Malco makes some good tools. Use these for fascia bending a lot. No scratches.
