inTankFuge Basket for Coralife LED BioCube 32

I have had this in my tank for a few months now and has been the best thing I have bought for my tank thus far I have another world growing in the back of my 32 led BioCube now. I have seen substantial growth of my chaeto algae along with my pods population is thriving back there as well which is keeling up with the feeding needs of my mandarin goby. I truly can't say enough good things about this product and this company. The product is very high quality and sturdy. I feel that the very success of my tank comes from the upgrade I made to replace all my BioCube filtration rack with InTanks refugium and filter media rack combo I am extremely happy with this product and will buy InTank products again!! (also I am a regular customer I did not get a discount to write this or persuade in any form I am writing this under my own motivation to help others like me that want the best product they can find)

First off I just wanted to say that Intank products are always of great quality. This is the second product I’ve bought and the quality of their products are amazing and well thought out. However, The only issue I found was that the sides were open.. in some aquariums it may work out fine but I don’t want to see chaeto floating around in the main display tank. My solution was simple, purchased a couple sheets of plastic mesh and secured them all around the fuge basket, EASY. It’s still easily accessible and makes trimming chaeto simple. Because of this I gave it 4 stars if not, I would have given it 5. Seems like the open sides are the main issue for most hobbyists, maybe Intank should listen to the feedback and create a refugium that’s sealed all around.

The inTank Fuge basket was a disappointment. I should have noticed in their description that it is only 2-sided (my bad) and thought about how that would affect its performance. It also came broken (adhesive bond between braces and side walls) - I was able to fix by super gluing the two surfaces back together at each brace.The way it fits in my biocube32 it is configured so that one of the open sides was against the media basket. So if I pulled the media basket from the tank to change media, etc. - then that would suck my chaetomopha out of the fuge basket into the area where the media basket was. I think the design would be improved if they had side walls with holes for flow, but not wide open.I have essentially put a 'sock' over the bottom of the fuge basket by putting it in a large media bag and tying it up to the top of the basket. The bag I bought just barely fits over the end of the basket, so its pretty efficient without a bunch of loose bag taking up space. The media bag has 'just large enough' holes to let in plenty of light without letting the algae escape every time I pull the adjacent media basket.Until inTank improves the design, I think I would buy a second media basket and use THAT as my fuge basket if I had to do it over again.

This fuge basket is awesome! I can finally see my chaeto algea without having to move my media. This basket in combination with the media basket is the PERFECT fit for my 32 Gal. Bio cube. The one that came with the tank served it’s purpose to get me started, but it was a pain to remove. Something would always get caught and I was always afraid something would break, tare or spill in the process. This keeps everything in the right place and makes my life easier whiledoing maintenance to my tank.

Made very well, wish it had side panels though so the bio balls don’t roll out and Chaeto stays in the box.

Unlike the basket / tray for chamber 2, this one has little to no use or value. I actually removed mine. Save your money for media to use in the chamber 2 tray.

Pretty underwhelming for what you pay for. The fact it’s 2 panels makes it easy for my chaeto to fall out. Like other mentions, get a second media tray. I’ll be using that space for something else now.

Awesome product but there are no sides which is kind of a bummer. I purchased some acrylic and cut it to size, drilled some holes for flow and glued them in. 2 sides only 3 inches each but worked great!!!!
