Works GREAT!!
These things are awesome!! We have an enclosed back porch with lots of windows and a door that gets left open A LOT! We have a ton of flies that get in and it is always a pain. We started using these this summer and they have been great. We catch flies like crazy! It's made being on the porch much more pleasant.By the way...we live in farm country and have horses on our property. So it's not like we only have a few flies!!I have been surprised by the negative reviews this product has received. We have had nothing but success with it!

Don't waste your money
Bought a two pack that came with packets of some kind of sex scent for flies that looked like the big grains of salt you get on those giant soft pretzels. The instructions said you can also use honey or syrup as well which should have been an indication of how well these work. I salted the traps, put them out, and waited. Honestly, I kind of forgot about them until my wife mentioned them. Took a look and there were zeroflues on them. You'd be better off leaving a bowl of fruit out and trying to away the flies as they land on it.

functional and unobtrusive
These do a great job. For some reason I had an infestation of houseflies in my new apartment, and I set up one of these traps in the kitchen and another in the bathroom. Within a couple of days, most of the flies were stuck to the traps. The traps are nice because you don't have to look at the dead flies stuck on the glue, as you do with other styles, and they coe with a packet that says it is some sort of mating pheromone. I don't know abou that, because it seemed to work better in the kitchen than in the bathroom, but what the hell. It ot rid of the flies, so I'm not complaining.

Update - Works best when placed close to light bulb
I'm updating my review, because it seems the flies only ignore the one in my kitchen. This morning I happened to look at the one in the basement, which is hanging right next to the overhead light bulb, and holy moly - it is covered with probably 50 dead flies. I'm ordering another set of these glue traps today![Here's my original review which was based on the one I placed on the kitchen window sill: "The flies don't seem to want anything to do with this. I followed the instructions on placement, and when they didn't go near it at first I even put some honey inside the plastic frame to draw them in - but nothing. The only fly that landed on and stuck to the core was one that I swatted at with the contraption and managed to make contact."]

These came in today. They are standard sticky bars with bait
This came in today. I got a package of 4 of them. They are the standard sticky bar with some bait which you sprinkle on the bar.I say bar since this seems to be a standard paper towel roll core which is covered in glue. The advertising photos are showing the back or bottom of it, depending upon which way that orient it.It does have a package of bait in the box which you sprinkle onto the glue bar.I like:The fact that there is a large glue area.It is safe to use around food or around my computer desk in the house. It comes with fly bait.I dislike:The fact that you have to use double-stick tape to hang it on the wall. The exposed fly-trap bar of the trap is what you see when you look at it. The part that you see in the photos is hidden when the fly-trap is in use.I have fly traps with sticky surfaces here, and they have not worked that well. But this sticky bar, with bait, may work better. I will see.

Works Like a Charm!
I live in the country, in a big old farmhouse, beside pastures, a pond; all the best of country living. The worst? Bugs. Lots and lots of insects. I practice non toxic control of said bugs, but it's a struggle. So I was thrilled when today I opened this JT Eaton Stick-A-Fly Glue stick, placed it at a window with around 15 flies, and in an hour every single fly was glued to the stick! Now, it's a bit of a trick to get it placed because it doesn't hang, doesn't have any built in way to attach, and is triangular in shape so it took a while to get it placed, but when I did...well, seriously, I couldn't be happier with it. On my way to buy some more!

NOT Bird Safe, 99% Fly & Insect Safe
Starting with 3 stars, only because the advertising is deceiving for what amounts to a toilet paper roll covered in sticky stuff with only 1 SIDE covered with the fancy plastic housing. In other words, this contraption is NOT bird safe (and most certainly not worth nearly $10 a pop). I therefor won’t be using them outside. I’ll update my review after 48 hours of trap use inside the home in a window seal as well as in the garage. Stay tuned …Updated review - changed to 1 star. 48 hours later, of the 2 traps set up, only one … I repeat, ONE FLY captured. So these traps are NOT bird safe however they ARE 99% fly & insect safe. Don’t waste your money.

Hasn't caught a fly in a month.
looks ok in my window (see the picture provided by the manufacturer). I've had it up for almost a month now, followed directions including putting some "bait" in it, but have not yet caught a fly. I put some double-sided tape surrounding it - just on the window sill (had to keep the ants out of it - so my bait seemed to be attracting insects, ) - and caught a fly on the tape, but not on the thing that is SUPPOSED to catch flies. Have killed tons of flies ' cause we have a kitty who goes in and out all day. I'm trying old fashioned fly tape next.
