I don't usually like "techy" guitars... and I love this.
The media could not be loaded. First off, I am a strat lover and player for 10 years and this feels just like a high end suhr or fender strat. Very sleek and satin finish on the neck. Very comfortable in my hands and easy to get around the neck. It is a slightly shorter scale too, which makes moving across the fretboard very accessible.Packaging:It came in super secure packaging with a thin gig bag. I would recommend getting something a little studier if you are planning on traveling with it, but it is a standard good decent gig bag.Comes with charger, whammy bars, truss rod wrenches and a manual which was all packaged very nicely.Effects and the appI am not one to like anything beyond a standard guitars that have all the basics: pickups, tone knobs, etc..However, when I plugged in my headphones directly into the guitar, I immediately got a beautiful clean, reverby tone (Video Attached--no other effects or eq adjustments applied). I downloaded the app and connected my guitar which I was able to do in 2 minutes and scrolled through the many tone presets. I was able to program 80's hard rock style distortion, crunchy blues, and clean jazz and could easily click through them with the black button on the guitar. It's really cool. The effects sound good directly though headphones, into Logic or any DAW and through an amp. I personally see myself using this for practice because this guitar eliminates the need for interfaces and other big set ups for needing to practice quietly while also wanting to hear yourself/apply effects.Cons:The only room for improvement I noticed is in the looper and drum features on the app. Creating a tight loop is difficult because there is no way to program a count in and the drum tracks are are all very similar tone-wise. However, I think the app itself is user-friendly and works great for the effects.Overall, its a great guitar especially for the price. Anybody who needs a solution for wanting to hear themselves play with effects without disturbing your neighbor and without much set up this is the guitar for you. And if you don't want to use the effects, it sounds great by itself with the SSH pickup configuration is super versatile and creates a range of tone options. Also added bonus that the colors are super cool and the electric blue is way brighter and nicer than I imagined.

Really cool guitar
This is a super cool guitar. I needed a cost-efficient travel option for awhile. The GTRS s800 is it. The on-board effects sound pretty authentic and guitarists can switch between them using the "superknob" on the guitar. I've able to practice by plugging my in-ear monitors directly in the output jack on the guitar. The USB C output also allows me to plug directly into my computer without an audio interface. I can record directly into my daw. It's pretty cool. Definitely the quickest and easiest set up process I've ever experienced prior to recording. The GTRS app syncs with the guitar and lets me mix and save new patches right to the guitar. It also allowed me to program each pick-up selection on the 5-way selector to sound like a different pickup and/or guitar. For instance, mine is currently programmed to sound like a JP (which I also own), a JP piezo, a tele, a dreadnaught acoustic, and a strat. All the programming can be turned off so the guitar can be used like any other guitar. The guitar also features a floating trem. Which is a really big deal for me. I use those all the time. The body is basswood and the neck is a roasted maple C shape. It doesn't feel like a cheap instrument at all. It definitely doesn't feel like what an experienced guitarist might expect from a guitar that sits under a $700 price point. For the price, this guitar has a lot to offer. I've barely been able to set it down since it arrived. It's awesome. The thing came with a semi-sturdy gig bag too. The bag had a little zipper compartment thing that velcros down under the neck. I was able to fill it with some of the packing foam that came in the box and made it into a nice saddle to support the neck. All in all, this is a really great option for traveling guitar players.

Amazing new smart guitar feature!!
I got this guitar a day after purchasing which is always nice. unfortunately it was not playable and needed a set-up straight out the box which I assumed would be the case. (these picture are post- setup) I really liked the case it came with. It did come with some charge on it and comes with four presets already set up. its so nice that you can plug your headphones straight in and makes this the PERFECT practice guitar. Especially with the way you can come up with your own 4 presets. the app is very easy to use - confusing to set up at first but anyone using a phone these days can figure it out. once your bluetooth is connected its all up from there.overall I would deem this a great practice guitar and if you're using fx live it would be good to get a switcher I think. The effects were cool and I like how they sound but for sure sounded a little muddy to me? tweeting further I think would go a long way. I love this guitar and the look of it. I would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a guitar that is fun and has the headphone direct in function.I am happy with this product! :) wish I had the pink one as well!!!

Feature Heavy Solution To Practicing And Home Recording
Overall, I'm a lot more impressed than I expected to be. It's easy to use, and the app/super switch user interface is quick to get a handle on and provides a lot of fun options for practicing or recording demos with this guitar. I'd be lying if I said the effects were "high level", and that is not meant to be a snobbish comment. They are fine, and add a lot of great utility and fun to this instrument. But I'd still rather use this as a traditional S-style guitar in a live setting through an amp and pedalboard. Maybe just kicking on the super switch as an easy to access boost (which in itself is an awesome feature). The feel of the neck is actually very comfortable, with a bit of a thicker feel than anticipated that gives it a nice vintage vibe that doesn't fight back hard. Fretwork was impressive too, though the rest of the set up (and strings) could use a tweak out of the box. I'd say it was a tad overpriced if it wasn't for the ability to just plug in and play to a DI box, computer, or headphones with variable effects.
