I received this battery today, and found like others, it would not slide into the vacuum's socket. The problem is that the grooves are too narrow on the sides of the battery. I calipered and compared the dimensions of the battery itself, and found no dimensional differences between my old and the new battery. I took a utility knife with a new blade and scraped the grooves out wider; mostly the side of the grooves nearest the rounded side of the battery.Voila! It slips in place with ease now. I can't star rate yet because I just got the battery, and have it in the charger now.UPDATE 3/23/15:After using this battery since November 2014, only a short time each day, it won't fully charge, and dies before we're through using it. We have 6 small rooms, all hardwood. I took an older battery and charged it, and it holds full charge for each session.

his was a great buy. The battery that came with the vacuum was ok but started losing its charge after vacuuming one room right after we bought it. We kept using it but I always knew that I could only do so much and then I would have to charge it up. This battery is amazing. The vacuum cleaner actually works better because the little motor is getting more power.After I charge it, I can use it to do three rooms of wood with no diminishment in power. I don't put it back on the charger right away but will use it for 3 or 4 days (3 rooms each time) before I start to notice any power decrease. I am thinking about buying another one just to keep as a spare but I don't know if the vacuum will outlast this battery! :-)

Solved my issues with longevity on the vacuum cleaner. This cleaner is no longer available and we need the light weight of this unit. This is the second time I have ordered batteries in the past five years. quick delivery also.

I purchased this in July 2015 and was scared based on reading the previous reviews that it would not fit or I'd have to use a file to carve grooves into the battery so that it would seat properly. I'm happy to report I received the battery and it fits into both charger and vacuum without any issue or work on my part. One initial charge overnight and this thing is cooking! Great inexpensive replacement battery for the Eureka vacuums.

This battery is not like the original one. Yes, it works, but the power goes in and out. I will not get another one when it dies.

Love my eureka 2 in 1. Cheapest place to buy the battery. Thought the old batter was dead. It wasn't. So now we have 2 we can switch back and forth.

It does not hold a charge as long as the battery from Eurrka

I'm very pleased with the battery. It's still early to tell if this one will last longer than the original which was good for about a few months then slowly declined. I am able to do the entire first floor on one charge and then some, which is true for the original battery. I love my Eureka vacuum and did not want to through it away because of a battery that would no longer charge. After searching online for a replacement, this was a super good deal and it arrived in about 4-5 days.

Works well with my Eureka 96H, BUT it didn't fit perfectly. The guide slots along the side were slightly too narrow. I had to use a knife to shave off a few millimeters until it fit.Otherwise, It has as much or more power than the battery that came with the vacuum. It really sucks now!

purchased this battery to replace the disappointing battery that came with the vacuum. This battery works fine and holds a charge but it doesn't quite fit in the vacuum so in order to ensure it works we have to use ducktape or our hands to ensure it maintains contact in the vacuum so it keeps working.

We are very happy with this battery. It arrived a few days earlier than expected. The original battery with our Eureka vacuum only lasted two years and no longer holds a charge at all. This one works perfectly, and in fact seems to hold the charge longer than the original ever did. Hopefully we will get long life from this one.

This is the second battery I bought in the last month as I want to make sure I always have a back up battery. This battery is amazing and makes my vacuum seem brand new with the power it generates.
