DoE-Compliant CEC approved PureBy Pool Motor Pump, 2HP Variable 2 Speed 115v 5160GPH Above Ground Pool Pump with 1.25" & 1.5" NPT Unions

This pump arrived a little early which was good. Install went well, all the necessary fittings were included. It started up and primed real easy and is running super quiet. Seems to have about the same flow rates as the old one. 5 star for sure.

I only gave four stars (may upgrade to five) because I am waiting to here from the seller as to what the thread size is on the pump and where the fittings can be purchased. I had just purchased a Hayward 2 speed pump that tripped the breaker as soon as I turned it on. I repaired the wire, but it was noisy running, so I purchased this one (and its much cheaper). I was really impressed when I turned it on because it runs really smooth and quite. It moves the water really good, even on low speed. Now if I can purchase the fittings (some of these off brand pumps you cant), than I will be ecstatic. If I cant purchase the fittings, I will be returning though.

Pros:- noise level is impressively lowCons:- specs of the delivered item were different than what was advertised listing.- specifically, the flow / suction is so low that there isn’t enough throughput to circulate the pool, thus the pool doesn’t stay balanced. I figured out too late that the specs were different. My pool has been a wreck ever since.It does seem like a good pump. The advertised specs just didn’t match the delivered specs. It’s too late for me to return it now, so unfortunately I’m stuck with an expensive pump and a green pool.
