The long lead that goes to behind the valve cover may have several more clips on it than shown in the video, be aware of that and get those unclipped otherwise as you're trying to fish the stock harness out you'll start tearing other stuff apart. It was nice needing the same socket for the engine cover, the reservoir nuts and the bolt for the oil can bracket, nice not to need to find several different sized sockets. 3/8 electric impact was fantastic for this job. Everything seems heavy duty, leads are sized appropriately, it is nice, quick clips had very audible click to them which is great, makes it easy to know you're in all the way.

As I've said in previous reviews of J&L products, yes you can find cheaper do it yourself oil separators out there. If you're like me and you like EASY, plug and play, done in 10 to 15 minutes products J&L is what you want. J&L supplies you with videos showing the tools you'll need and the simplest way of installing the separator. They use OE connectors so everything looks and works just like it was done at the factory. They've worked out the best/easiest place to install, and supply the correct bracket and supply any needed hardware. This one for the Jeep Wrangler was probably the most time consuming because of having to remove a tank to route the hose behind it, so it took about 15 minutes. Most install in about 10. Easy, high quality, done to OE style specs. The only thing they could do to make it better is have it install itself.

It seperates enough oil that it scares me. I bought the extension as well and at 2500 miles I need to empty. The install was pretty easy. To remove and empty is kinda difficult. Some form of a hydrolic hose style would be easier use then the treaded design in such a tight space.

Fantastic product for the Wrangler 2024 3.6 liter engine. I have the extender and after the first 2,000 mile, the container was almost full. Wonderful installation.

I installed this on my 2020 Gladiator. I can't believe how much oil this thing catches. It works perfectly. It is very easy to install and periodic (about every 1k miles) emptying of the reservoir is easy. I added auxillary switches, so the bank of relays makes routing just a bit more tricky, but very doable. Highy recommened for JL JT owners with the 3.6 Pentastar engine.

The oil separator is made well in nicely finished aluminum. The installation was easy and everything fits well. My only issue is that it fills fairly quickly and I may need to get the larger cannister. I am very satisfied so far.

Very nice kit, easy installation, I will give credit where it's due. However, when you watch the install video they mention the 3.6L Pentastar tends to collect a lot of oil and that you should purchase the can extension. For $250 I would expect J&L to either make the collector bigger or just include the extension in the first place.
