KEENWomen's Rose Casual Closed Toe Sandals

I just unboxed these sandals today and they fit true to size right out of the box. I researched sandals, ad nauseam, for an impending trip to Thailand.My main needs are:ComfortRugged soles for uneven surfacesToe box for protectionWaterproof/washableBreathable for the equatorial climateSo far, this sandal has hit all these points, with the added (pleasant) surprise of soft, stretchy fabric under the black rubber at the front of the shoe, for extra protection. The straps also cover the feet nicely, while giving them some summer style.Now. Let’s get to that “adjustable strap”, shall we? I was most interested to see what the straps were like, in person, after reading approximately 1,000 reviews. One thing I did not read in ANY review is that the second, close-to-the-skin strap, while not adjustable, *is stretchy*. I tried to get a good picture of how far it stretches/what kind of give it has. While not loose, it wasn’t overly tight. It has some give. However! If you are on a long flight and get swollen feet, this strap *could* prove to be painful the next day, and it might be a good idea to have a back up pair. Time will tell.Overall, it looks like a good, rugged shoe, with the ability for a wipe-down after a day in the markets, breathability in hot weather, molded footbed to reduce aching feet, and far more stylish than my teens thought they’d be. Perhaps I’ll update after being road tested in Thailand for 10 days.

Perfect fit. True to size. No “break in” period needed! Most comfortable shoe I’ve owned.

I have 2 previous “generations” of the rose sandal which afforded a more “curvy” ( & preferred ) width allowance as well as adjustable ankle/heel strap fitting . This newer profile still has great cushion/support & even better sole tread, though The ankle strap is now more like a water shoe with pre-sized, stretchy material (ie: aqua, scuba socks)…

Love the color and the sturdiness of these sandels. Would buy these again. Expensive but worth it

I love the fit & comfort of these sandals. They look great with a skort or shorts. The toe cap makes them great for hiking. Also great to wear while walking in the surf at the beach.

I wanted to so badly to love these. The only issue was a deal breaker for me. The ankle strap is NOT adjustable even though at a glance it appears to be. Visually, when ordering it is very misleading. For me it was too tight across the ankle.Otherwise I felt that this is a very good shoe and was sorry to see how tight it felt. Have started a return unfortunately.

I wear a 9 in the Keen Whisper sandal so that is what I ordered first. The 9 in the Rose sandal was too short. 9.5 works. I like the fact they look nice with a skirt/dress or pants. Hoping to find more colors discounted.

Look nice, well made, straps padded, soft. My regular size is 9.5 but these but we're to long for me. Different brand different sizing. Would buy again in smaller size.
