Great price for this item
I needed to buy this book for a cataloguing course I'm taking at college. This is by far the best price I've seen on it anywhere. Another reviewer said it doesn't come with dividers, but it does. It doesn't come with a binder, but that's easy enough to solve. It took me less than 15 minutes to get the dividers in the right places and my binder set up properly. It is the full edition with the 2005 update included. Shipping to Canada was really fast too. I'm so happy with my purchase.

a catalogers dream
The amount of information in this book is fantastic. Even though it is soon to be rewritten, the vast amount of information will still come in handy in the media center. It is unbound and will require a large (3 inch) binder, but is worth the time.

AACR2
These loose leaf sheets are comprehensive for all those who are learning Cataloguing. A good resource for all those who are training to be a Cataloguer or for those Libraries which need it.

Was a waste of my money
This book is not user-friendly. I wish my prof would have had us use the condensed version. I spent $83 for it and didn't get any use out of it.

Waste of money
Are you an MLIS student? Find out if your institution subscribes to Cataloger's Desktop (most likely) and save your money.Oh, and if you do decide to buy this. It does not come with a binder or dividers. So have fun navigating this mess!

factual
This is required for catalogers. The information is important to those in the library field. Although not everyone will become a cataloger, it is important to know the material and understand why things are done the way they are.

Great
New book in great condition. Delivered quickly. The book did not come with a 3-ring binder. So basically the book is several hundred unbound pages which are already hole-punched.

The Librarian's Bible
This is a very big looseleaf item. I suggest getting a 2.5 - 3 inch binder to hold all the papers before it gets dropped. The AACR2 is the bible to cataloguing. RDA is the new set of cataloguing rules; however, the basis of the rules are AACR2-- so remember to refer to this publication.
