I used this between my DAC (an older professional model) and several different USB interfaces and CD players. It did not fit easily in the DAC, and when I tried to pull it out it was so hard that I was wondering which would break first, my fingers or the cable plug. I replaced it with a similar Amazon Basics cable, and it fit fine everywhere. I measured the size of the cable plugs, and this one is .002 inches bigger than the Amazon in both directions. This leads me to wonder if the people who made this cable used a standard connector that was already designed to be the right size, then added a gold coating that is .001 inches thick (half the measured difference because it gets measured twice, once for each side of the plug). I assumed when I bought this that the gold coating is a useless marketing gimmick, similar to putting purple stripes on the outer jacket. It isn't near the signal path, just on the outer plastic whose only job is to fit properly in the socket. It appears now that the coating isn't harmless, but makes the product unusable in some equipment by making the plugs too big to do their job properly. Beware.

This did not work. It did not allow a connection to occur between the two devices I was using. Once I replaced this cord with a less expensive cord that came with one of the devices and was not Gold Plated and much shorter and I was able to make the connection. This tells me that either there is something wrong with the cord or the connection ends are too big. It didn't seem to sink in to the component as well as the other cord when I pushed the plug in. I am very displeased. This arrived today and I tried to use it immediately and it did not work. It upsets me because I needed one this length. Not a good product.

My biggest surprise was the cable thickness to what I purchased before. Original Optical wires were very thin. These are about the same thickness as RCA cables. Every connection went "FINE" I was worried because of some of the reviews. They "appear" to be larger , but went in; and out JUST FINE. It could have just been me, but the sound was louder with these cables. I just wanted to hook everything up. So I didn't go into much regarding that. Cable length for the room was perfect. Price was also very nice. These cables are less expensive then the original smaller diameter ones by about $5.00. Very pleased. I am now using the T.V. for the front speakers. The setting is on DTS with voice clarity. The sound bar and sub are behind. Better surround sound on the TV and the DVD.

I bought these over competitors because the quality appeared to be much better. The gold plated leads are nice, but the housing is bit bulky and can interfere with other cables if your transmitter ports are too close together. Sound quality was great, however it just crapped out on me out of nowhere the other night. I heard a screeching sound and my game volume went out. I don't have any bends or breaks in the line, i have been very delicate. Im still seeing a red light out of both ends but hear no audio. Just outside of the return window too.Side note: 6' is $2 cheaper tham 3'. Why ? I bought a shorter cable so less chance of wrapping or getting caught on something, but have to pay extra?

This cord was a godsend. We have DirecTV and when they recently upgraded the system, we could no longer listen to our programs through the connected sub-woofer and speaker bars. Hooked this baby up from the Samsung Smart TV directly to the sub-woofer and now whatever we watch on our TV, whether its through the DirecTV box, blue-ray player or the TV itself, the sound comes through the sound system.

Works perfectly, as it should. I needed the 15' cable to run from above my fireplace over the build in cabinets in my new house. The route isn't the best, builder kind of messed that up but it isn't a big deal. Just means I needed a larger cable.Works as it should, strong cable and easy to pull through raceway.

This fiber optic cable for your audio is bad. The cable pops off every time I move my PS4 around.

Optical cable was delivered fast and worked as expected. I would recommend this product and seller. If I ever need another cable I will certainly buy from this seller again.

Used on my surround sound AV Amplifier. Coupled Projector up and used this cable to feed Toslink (digital opto Audio) from Blue ray player to Amp. Works great in DTS.
