Better than expected
I use mine for broccoli sprouts and haven’t had an issue with the holes being too large, I lose a few seeds when rinsing— but not many, so I don’t use the paper liners that come with it. Love how the terra-cotta soaks in the water and keeps the seeds hydrated without any standing water.

Cute
It is really cute sat on my worktop!I line the base of the seed layers with some kitchen towel to stop the seeds from getting caught in the holes, which also makes for easy cleanup!

Not good for small seeds.
I did not purchase mine through Amazon as they were out of stock. I found mine on line someplace else. The holes are waaay to big for alfalfa, cabbage, clover, kale, etc. This is really more for lentils, sunflower seeds, garbanzo beans, adzuki beans, etc. So the sprouter is nice, I love terra cotta as they drain well and really don't get moldy. But beware! Buy this only if you plan to sprout larger things and purchase a different brand for tiny seeds.
