Q: What keeps chickens from eating nonstop?

There is not any mechanism associated with this feeder that stops the chickens from eating nonstop.

Q: just received my feeder...pull up on cap and it broke..?? need another cap

Same! My red lid cracked all way across. Need a replacement.

Q: Can this be mounted on a wall?

It does not come with hardware or hooks for wall mounting but bolts from the inside through the back and into the wall or a shelf would do the trick. It has a flat plastic back-think Rubbermaid. I have mine on the floor inside the run and it works great.

Q: Does this feeder do good with pellets? Does it let them flow down easily? Is able to be hung on wood or fencing?

Pellets is fine, we have not done any testing on the hanging part, if you want it raised, i would recommend placing it on blocks.
