East of West Volume 2: We Are All One

Price you pay!
This book goes more into the backstory of and build up of different people and the the things they had to do to get power and at what cost. Some find a new path and others pay a big price to get power or to serve others. Others try to right wrongs they have done and the main guy is looking for what he lost and what he has to give up to get what he wants. Slow burn world building. Jumps around but you find out a lot about some key players. I liked it. Art is cool

Fascinating as world building
This is a fascinating as an exercise in world-building: take a central idea that is somewhat cliche mash it with a setting that is somewhat tried, and then go crazy. The series has a steep learning curve and highly developed mythologies, but the characters are still hard to relate too and the Message is poorly understood. That said, I enjoy that the you learn as the story unfolds and very, very little is packed into exposition. The dialogue is stilted and humorless, but the world building pulls you in anyway.

Gift that is well received
I buy these for my brother (high schooler) and he loves them.

Definitely a must read (after you're finished the current volume of Saga)
If I'd noticed who wrote this I might not have started reading the series (I know, everyone else things The Manhattan Projects is all kind of amazing, but really it's boring and predictable). Fortunately, I didn't notice because this is one of the better current comics out there.

What’s happening? And why do I love it?
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. These characters are cool as hell, and the more and more it comes together the more I like it. The payoffs are great and the story is wild.

Great continuation of volume one
I ordered volume one a couple of weeks ago and was instantly hooked. Volume two seems to be on par and look forward to seeing how the story moves forward. The print is really high quality but still wish it had some extra art work to look at.

Beautiful art - decent read
Art is just gorgeous. Story is good too, although a bit large in scope, so it can tend to feel a bit disjointed (kinda like this review). Pretty violent, if that's a concern – definitely a grownup read.I'm in for vol. 3.

A slight misstep.
Not as well delivered as the first volume. The story still remains intriguing, but I found it hard to ignore the overwriting. Show us more with the wonderful imagery, and less with heavy handed dialogue.

Broad but well told story.
This the second TP, gives us a lot more background on the various factions vying for control (or trying to maintain order up until the end times) of this alternate reality. Although I enjoyed the book, it asked more questions than it answered, leaving me to believe that this story is only going to broaden in scope. Which isn't in itself a bad thing, I just feel these books should be read in quick succession so you don't forget the ins and outs and the hidden political agendas of all the characters. I mean at this point we're following the leaders of seven American nations, Death, the other 3 Horsemen, the Beast, and the Texas Ranger. It could be a little daunting if you were reading it month to month. Luckily I'm not, and I would recommend purchasing this story in it's TP format due to the aforementioned reasons.
