Great value for the price!
I'm an old fart. I used to hike the Appalachian Trail for weeks with a 50-pound pack. Now I can't stand up long enough to take a shower. Getting old is NOT for sissies!! Anyway, bitching about age aside...I was using a camping toilet seat which I happened to have, as a shower bench. It worked, but got groddy and rusted. So I ordered the cheapest seat I could find until I find a FOLDING seat I can install myself that doesn't cost $200. Good luck with that, right? Anyway, this came this morning and I LOVE IT! VERY comfortable. The seat has little holes in it so water drains and your butt doesn't stick to the bench when you stand up. Very important feature unless the idea of prying a bench from your butt every shower excites you. It doesn't do anything for me.First: It is incredibly LIGHTWEIGHT. That's a plus if you have no muscle strength. It has easy-grip handles on both sides of the bench making it easy to grab and lift in or out of your shower/tub. The legs are aluminum. Also lightweight. It comes in THREE pieces - the bench, and two legs. The legs crisscross (see photos) making it double sturdy and less likely to rack from side-to-side and dumping your butt on the ground. That's a plus. The five screws are finger tightening. You don't need a screwdriver or any tools at all. I sealed the washers with white silicone to slow down water seepage into the bench legs, but you don't have to do that. There are five washers and five screws. You WILL need a FLAT surface to work on. The floor or a couch might work if someone young and flexible is putting this together, but I used a flat surface (the top of my table saw for the curious. I'm old, not dead. I have hobbies.)Overall, it's sturdy, comfortable, fits my SMALL shower, has wide rubber feet to prevent slipping. I wouldn't stand on it or use it for anything but its intended purpose (easy to think of it as a step stool in a pinch, but don't.)The plastic is going to be easy to clean with a scrubby and some bleach. It will probably last at least a year or more - making my investment be about .75 cents or less per month. Good trade-off. If the zombie apocalypse hits the legs can be easily disassembled and turned into stakes or weapons if you know how to do that sort of thing.

Solid and Easily Assembled
This is a nice little shower seat. It is solid enough for the price and its height is (easily) adjusted. There is a lot of discussion among the reviewers concerning its assembly. Basically there are twelve parts: the two bars with a leg at each end and five screws with washers. The screws have handles at the end, so you don’t need any tools for the assembly process. The legs are crisscrossed and then bolted at the center. Then the four leg ends are bolted down and you’re finished. The only tricky thing is that the legs are heavy enough that they have to be balanced when you insert the first screw/bolt. It would help to have someone balancing them for you. I was able to do it myself after one or two tries. The trick was to have the holes in the leg bars aligned perfectly above the receptacle in the seat. I discovered that what was most needed was a bright overhead light. Then, as they say, Bob’s your uncle. Once that screw bit in the receptacle you could tighten it most of the way, then bolt down the four ends. You want to leave enough play so that you can move the legs until they’re precisely over the corner receptacles. This all took less than ten minutes. I could do a second one in a minute or two.So, not to worry about the installation. Assemble and enjoy.

confusing assembly directions
This is a very sturdy chair, very comfortable. It was easy to put together if you understand how to assemble things. However, the instructions on what screws to use were completely wrong. It didn't take much effort to figure out the mistake but to a novice it could be confusing. In all we are very pleased with the quality.

Very helpful!
No falls in the shower with this set. Bench did get slippery! Would recommend putting a towel down, but did the trick!

Ageing with safety and ease!
Hitting the age (70's) where safety is more of a concern - showers have been the norm for years - baths are out - could get down, but not up - now looking for more safety options, (had reached the point that I was leaning against the shower wall to be able to stabilize to wash my feet). Wanted options that offer ease, stability, and the ability to wash most of me sitting - set at the highest level - works great - easy to put together - no tools, height adjustment very easy - stool balanced, even, solid with wider foot bumpers for more stability - Extra suction handle is now the 3rd I have - all have been useful, either to hold a wash cloth or add stability option.

Perfect!!
I'm always worried about purchasing anything I'm going to sit on because of my excessive weight. This was easy to assemble and is insanely sturdy!! Fits nicely in my standard sized tub and it's easy to remove so my husband can take a bath! It also served as a bonus stool when I was bathing my grandsons!!
