Great iPhonone Holder Arca Swiss Compatible !
This product is solidly made, inexpensive and very functional. With all metal construction, except for the small rubber pad which contact your phone to hold it, this is product is solid. Since it is not sprint loaded you need to screw the holder to adjust to fit the phone. While some may see this as a negative thing, but I consider it a positive thing as this insures your phone will be secure and not subject to spring tension. The other small issue is it maximum jaw opening is 4 5/16" which pretty limits is use to placing the phone horizontally (landscape). Besides the sturdiness and positive holding of the phone, the biggest plus is that it is Arca Swiss compatible. While having a .25"x20 screw hole is important as it makes it compatible with consumer type tripods, Arca mounts is used by serious and commercial photographers. This makes this mount very flexible and my go-to choice as this insures I can mount my phone to all my tripods of needed. I am surprised that in all the literature I can not see any reference to its Arca Swiss compatibility. Maybe because it only $20 they think serious/professional photographers using Arca Swiss mounts would not consider this item. Or because they tend to use monitors they many not need a phone holder attached to their tripods.... a missed opportunity/market in my opinion.

Very well built and unique in a sea of plastic crap.
Great little product to slip in your bag to do some cell phone videography/photography. There are several apps that allow you to shoot photos in RAW format, as well as control your shutter speed and other settings. Using this product in combination with one of these apps, and mounted on a tripod, would allow you to do some long exposure photos. The product arrived well packaged, and set up is easy. The legs simply fold out and you rotate the screw to extend the length enough to slip your phone in and retighten. It is made of machined aluminum and feels very sturdy. One of the unique features that drew me to this product is that it features an integrated Arca-Swiss tripod plate, allowing you to attach it directly to most tripods (Manfrotto uses their own proprietary system and isn't directly compatible with this.) This allows you to quickly set up and mount your device to the tripod without the need for an additional plate, or to remove your existing plate from your camera or other device to use with your phone. I chose the color red because most of the gear I carry is black, something this small would be hard to find in my bag if it where the same color. I can't be positive, but the colored coating seems to be anodized, which should hold up well over time and use. All in all a very innovative product!

The only phone mount you need
Metal construction feels solid. Screw clamp doesn't feel like it will come undone. Probably the most secure mount for your phone. Has a 1/4" thread hole for table top tripods with only a screw or attaching a joby gorillapod baseplate. Don't forget this mount has arca swiss notches so you can slide the mount ITSELF onto many tripods without attaching the arca swiss plate, for that tripod. This is such a low profile mount you can leave it on your phone so you can put your phone into a bag or jacket pocket when you need to put your phone away instead of having to unhook your phone every single time. While clamped onto your phone, you can set your phone down on a table or bookshelf to stand your phone horizontally and get those different vlog angles no mini tripod needed. I suggest for a vlog setup to use this mount on your phone with your choice of shotgun mic and use the 0.6x camera on your modern smartphone. And then bring along your choice of tripod, big or small, that has an arca swiss ball head. This will be the simplest phone film setup ever.

Great but not perfect.
First, it looks great. I got the red one, and it's pretty great-looking. I like its sturdy aluminum build, its form factor is efficient, and well-built. I have a Google Pixel 7 with a fairly slim Moment case, and this fits sideways with no problem. Seems secure, though I don't really walk around with it. It sits on a small tripod on a table. I like the "hidden" cold shoe for accessories on top, because I do attach a mic and light to it. It only has one shoe, I attach the mic to the light's shoe. My cons are minor. My Pixel 7 does not fit vertically in the holder, and there is no swivel to flip the phone 90 degrees. It's a minor con, because I don't usually record vertically. But the option would be nice. This one isn't solely on the holder, but, the arms the hold the phone take up a bit of room, causing the phone to have to sit off-center because of the power and volume buttons. Not a big deal, but thought I'd note it. Overall it's a pretty great phone holder, and depending on your phone, I'd recommend it.

Surprisingly good!
I was looking for an inexpensive device that would allow me to use my Arca-Swiss-style ball head with an iPhone. This one seemed worth a try for the price, but I didn't expect it to be nearly as good was what I received. It's very nicely designed and well-made, the moving parts fit tightly and line up very nicely, so the phone fits snugly when I close the clamp down. The screw mechanism works fine, the pieces are a bit loose in that there's quite a bit of play in this part of the item, but it doesn't appear to be a concern. Using the screw to move the clamp up or down initially was very squeaky and not smooth, but a bit of 3-1 oil sorted that right out and now the movement is quiet. The one other element that isn't just right (besides the looseness of the screw and guide rods) is that the bottom plate doesn't fit as smoothly into the ball head as my other Arca-Swiss plates. I have several plates for mounting DSLR bodies and various lenses, and each of these (albeit more expensive) plates has a slightly narrower base which allows the plates to fit more easily into the ball head. The Ulanzi base plate is wider than my other plates and too wide to place into the ball head's clamp from the top as I'm accustomed to doing. I have to slide the Ulanzi into the ball head's clamp, and then because the Ulanzi fits the space so tightly there is not much room to snug the ball head's clamp down. This is not much of an issue because a phone is very light and you don't need a lot of torque on the clamping screw. But it still feels a bit weird compared to using the other plates which, being slightly narrower, allow me to crank down on the clamping screw for a very tight fit. Overall I'm very pleased with the item and recommend it if you want to use a phone on your Arca-Swiss ball head.

Stability in Design
There’s a simplicity to the design and a focus on the key functional elements that make this product far superior to overprice an over engineered phone mounts. Starting with the aluminum body that is light and structural. Ability to collapse the amount allows you to travel with zero restrictions even in a shirt pocket. And the universal mounting surface allow you to upgrade lighting options. I have paired my purchase with the Ulanzi MT-44 Extendable Vlog Tripod and truly believe this is the best option for travel For photography video and I even use it for DIY videos from playing guitar to fixing my car. I definitely do my research when I purchase any products so I hope this helps.

This is what you want
Although I do most of my videos with a camera, I don't always have my camera with me unless I have something planned. I keep one of plastic cell phone stabilizers in my vehicle and while it's ok, I don't think it's secure enough. The way my phone sits in it makes it seem like just a little bump would knock it out so I am always super careful when using it. With this clamp, your phone isn't going anywhere! It's big enough to fit most any phone and totally adustable for a perfect fit. The machining is very good and it's sturdy. If you are considering a cell phone mount, spend the extra few dollars and buy this all metal one. UPDATE: I've now purchased three of these over the last year. Not because they've broken or anything like that. I still have one on my cell phone stabilizer rig and have two that are set up Manfrotto mini tripods, one in my camera bag and another in my truck. I still think these are the best quality cell phone holders out there.

Surprisingly well-made
I bought this on a whim, thinking it would be nice to be able to mount an iphone to a tripod via a quick-release plate. The ST-03 was one of the cheapest phone mount options, and Ulzani is kind of like Neewer, one of those up-and-coming import brands that makes decent stuff for the price. I figured what the heck, I'll give it a try. I'm really glad I did I was pleasantly surprised to see how well-engineered and well-made this mount is. For starters, it's solid metal, no plastic. The arca mount slots are cleverly embedded in the base, and the base also includes a 1/4 threaded slot for connecting directly to a tripod bolt without a quick-change plate (or to mount this onto another quick-change plate). The size adjustment for the phone is via a metal screw, not cheap springs or plastic like some other iphone holders I've used. When you screw it down, it's set. And when you're done, it all folds down into a neat little form factor that would easily fit in my pocket. Kind of like a Transformer toy. I'm impressed. The only feature this *doesn't* have, which would be handy, is the ability to pivot or rotate. But if you're connecting this to a tripod head via the arca mount you'll be fine with your tripod head's tilt/pan controls. Caveat: I haven't owned it very long, so time will tell how long it will hold up, but it's solid metal, so I expect it will last for years.
