It is a HARD clay.
Yes, it is a very stiff solid clay, but that is preferable for my projects, I want a clay that won't pick up my fingerprints and will hold firm. It just takes a bit of extra kneading but it is a GOOD clay!

Too dried out to use
This product was only wrapped in an unsealed piece of cellophane. When I finally had time to try and use it the product was unusable and I had missed the 30 day return. Very upsetting that this is completely unusable when first opened. It was stored in the shipping packaging till I tried to use it. It's extremely hard and crumbly. Even trying to add water does not work. It's just useless. I buy all my clay from Amazon and this is first time I have ever rcvd unusable product. Disappointed.

Inexpensive ,easy to work with polymer clay!
The media could not be loaded. So far, this product, as with other Sargent clays I have used, has not disappointed! Very affordable, extremely easy to work with and it doesn’t leave a sticky residue feeling on your hands like some of the other brands I have tried. The next test will come when I finish and bake my project. I feel confident that this will turn out well!-JF

Work it!
Let me start by saying this product is not easy to work with. I havent worked with polymer clay before until now so im no expert but you really have to work it to soften it up and make it workable. It comes out of the package hard as a rock and even once it's softened, you'll have to use a baking pin or something to roll out the clay. I am using the clay to create pots for my plants.

Learn to use with 2oz blocks
I first started with the small 2 oz blocks to learn to use the clay. Once you are familiar then buy larger amounts for larger projects. Yes it is hard at first but once softened it is fantastic to work with.

Mine came dried lol
Mine came extremely hard and dry. I was able to break it up into 3 chunks. by the way it broke, I could tell it was polymer clay so don’t question that. My guess is it’s either really low quality or has a low drying temp. I tried added baby oil and white dye stained my hands (i’m black, it’s been two days and a few showers and it hasn’t come out. another reason why I think it’s low quality) and it really didn’t mix well at all. Ultimately I had to throw it out :(

Too hard to get workable
Like others said, it comes out as hard as a brick and crumbly, once you can break off a piece. My 11yo can’t get it workable. I’m returning it.

Cannot recommend
This clay was extremely hard and attempts to condition it by hand didn’t work at all. Then we tried putting it in a ziploc bag in a pot of warm water, and it remained hard and turned dry and crumbly. Then we tried added adding Vaseline and it still was hard and crumby. Needless to say, we threw it out.

What a mess.
I bought this clay without reading the reviews. I’ve never used polymer clay, so I see the reviews saying it is hard and crumbly - too difficult to work with. I looked at tutorials online on how to soften polymer clay and I tried everything. I’ve come to the conclusion that this product is just crap. Don’t buy it, trust me. I tried adding Vaseline while slowly working it in, like the tutorials say to do, and it became a milky, very sticky, ball of junk. Please, don’t waste your money or time.

I'm not sure how well this product works when it is fresh. This item was as hard as a rock. Very disappointing.
