Bonanza Cologne & After-Shave Sample Pack

For me, the Bay rum, Lime & Peppercorns wears the best. Bay rum/Sandalwood is a light touch, but carries a longer lasting scent. Sage & Cedar is both spicy and extremely aromatic.For the last two: Bay rum cologne when worn smells like cotton candy,the Bay rum aftershave is a classic scent all it's own. Great purchase so I've bought The Bay rum with lime and peppercorn, along with Bay rum and sandalwood in the 8 oz bottle. Neat feature of these as that they fade a bit after a few hours, but believe me, if you get close to that someone special-or the upcoming special it's a guaranteed nuzzle. This is a great set if you don't know what kind of pirate you want to smell like. All of them are mild and subtle when compared to the rabid clove monster that is Pinaud's Virgin Island Bay Rum.--Bay Rum original: smooth, fresh, clean, masculine; a nice authentic scent. Doesn't have much of a clove presence, which is good if you don't like smelling like ham--Sage and Cedar: adds to the original, a heavy cedar that smells like a fine sauna. The sage is a bit subdued and would have liked to seen it come forward a bit more.--Limes and Peppercorn: from the bottle and upon splashing is a nice and refreshing blend, more lime than peppercorn, and goes nicely with the bay rum foundation. However, once it tampered down, it smelled like pine-sol and I washed it off--Bay Rum cologne: this one dropped a 5 star to 4 stars. One, because it's not aftershave. And two, although it adds some orange and ginger notes to the original bay rum afterhsave, it doesn't deviate enough away from the original after have formula to warrant its existence.--Sandalwood: ah! This. This right here! I could bathe in this stuff. One word: delicious. It's a mild sandalwood. If you're familiar with the heavy and musky sandalwood scent from TOBS sandalwood shave cream, it's nothing like that. It's light and mellow and unassuming. Pair this with Ogalalla Sandalwood Shave Soap and you'll bolt out of bed to shave in the morning.

I was expecting a lot more than what I got. Its good stuff and they smell good but there's just not that scent nostalgia that I imagined. I had this built up in my mind and it fell short. I do love that this is a sampler and they give you ample amount of each sample to help you make up your mind. Smell.......well that's all relative.

Bay run has been around for a very long time. My hubby loves that it's not too strong and that it doesn't last all day! (Do you believe that) He likes the fact that when he goes to work out the scent is gone and doesn't effect him after a work out. So great stuff and nice variety of smells. Would highly recommend.

Did not have the vanilla, but they went above and beyond to make it right. The other bay runs were as promised. I would happily buy from them again

While the bottles that I received looked the genuine, the contents certainly were not. It appears that the original aftershaves/cologne were swapped out with water since the liquid only had a very faint smell of the original contents and the liquid was clear. Hoping there was a mistake but I am thinking not.Just to be very clear, I vigorously shook the bottles before trying the scents.

I love this company and all of their Bay Rums. I bought this pack first, to see which of their scents I wanted to get a full bottle of. So far, I've bought a large bottle of the classic, and will probably buy a large bottle of the Peppercorn with Lime for summer wear. However, all of the scents smell great and having the Bonanza Pack is the perfect way to have some around for a change of pace. Also, the bottles are small enough to carry on an airplane. So you can keep smelling good, even when you're on the road.

I do not think I will be using any of these very much. The smell makes myself and my significant other somewhat nauseous. Some people may have a different reaction and might like the scent, but this is not the product that I am looking for.
