First off the instructions are easy to follow as long as you carefully look at the smaller sections. The only confusing part was the bag labeled 1-1 had some pieces that are used when working with bag 3. The cross guard is a very intricate design on this purple sword so it's a bit delicate. Only 2 sections had me struggling when trying to connect 2 halves which required a lot of trial and error and force but once in, it really put everything together. Yes the sword is a bit flimsy but I think for cosplay and display purposes, it's good enough. Unless you superglue the parts, I wouldn't swing it around carelessly. The sword goes in and out of the sheath with no issues here either. Remember, use a good amount of force when putting pieces together so everything once connected is strong. I love it so much that I ordered 2 of the others in the set. Also I'm glad there were no missing pieces although sometimes I thought there was but I wasn't searching carefully.

My daughter liked the sword. It was challenging to put together. The instructions weren't very clear. She said you had to look at the pictures closely to follow the steps. The written instructions weren't precise. She was able to put it together and it looks great.

My daughter has never had an interest in building blocks while my son and I used our imaginations to create, destroy and re-invent new ideas. My daughter got interested in anime because of her friends at school and had this on her wish list on Amazon. I got it for her 14th birthday gift and she actually put her phone(!) down to build this. Great time bonding with her and quality sword. I’d definitely get another one.

The builder used modpodge to glue the hilt and sheath, because the parts wouldn't stay together. Still recommend buying!

It took my grandson a while to put it together and he felt proud when it was completed!
