Great for beer cereal mash
Great taste and consistency. Used in cereal mash for American lager beer. Hard to find non gmo and organic products for beer. Use rice hulls or mash sticks!

Absoltuely fantastic!
If you are looking for nice coarse grits that are high quality and the best available this is the product to buy.If, however, you want "quick to cook" or tasteless grits best to look elsewhere. Yes, these take a bit longer to cook but we don't see cooking as an emergency and are willing to wait a few more minutes.Note: Extra wonderful when, about 1/2-way through cooking, one adds a bit of sausage, onions, peppers, mushrooms and whatever else in in the refrigerator. Incredible! But again -- if you want junk grits or demand they slime down your throat -- this may not be the product for you. (We'll go with the quality every time ...)

Most expensive chicken feed I've ever purchased
Not like any grits I've ever seen.Bits of something red all through it.A very course grind for grits.Cooked texture was disappointing.UPDATE: Cooked them again, they're definitely not grits. It's a good thing I have chickens. They like this cracked corn very much.

Not what I expected
I have bought grits from the 25lbs for a while now but I ordered this brand this time and I will never order it again. The grit is really large and takes forever for them to cook. They also have a dark husk in the grits. I actually had to get my food processer out to make the grit smaller to cook faster.

Not for everyone; only those that want the BEST!!!
If you are in a hurry, these are not for you. If on the other hand, you have time to cook these grits slowly, you will be rewarded with the best yellow grits money can buy. The cost is nearly double the last 25# bag I purchased and they are worth every penny. These grits are coarse, and are non gmo and organic. People used to quick cooking, less flavorful grits may not like them They take more time and have a different mouth feel that what many may be looking for.It seems people fall into two groups; those who love them and those who don't. Count me in the first group. These are my choice for the rest of my days. They are simply the best and I will never buy another brand. If you want the best and are willing to spend the extra time, you will be rewarded with the best grits available!
