My son does NOT like loud noises, this is low hum. a little louder than when your laptop fan comes on.

what color is the light that tells you you are out of ammo?

Orange. Very bright, blinks for a long time.

Does it come with battery

No batteries are not included but the batteries it requires ( if I recall it takes 'C' batteries) are readily available at most stores. My son loves this Nerf gun!
