This is one of those ideas so simple you can only ask "why hasn't anyone thought of this before now?". The hinged ring mount is brilliant, allowing the box to fold nearly flat and saving tons of space. As well as frustration in not having to insert rods into the mount every time you wanna use a softbox.I have been using 'brolly' style umbrellas for many shoots for years because I simply hate putting together a softbox - they're a pain. Not with the ParaSnap - it's stupid easy and quick. And I'm loving the light these babies put out - contours and wraps very well, creating a lovely light!I tried one then had to buy a second - so far love using them!

How did it take this long for us to get a light modifier like this? It is simple, folds and packs into a pancake, making it super portable. Most importantly, it controls light nicely and I like the images it produces. Probably 95% of the time that I'm mobile, I only work with 1 light. But I like this so much that I bought a 2nd one just in case. Very impressed, and can't say enough good things about this softbox!

I own over 20 modifiers and the 36 inch Parasnap beats them all in setup time and storage space requirements. Most everything short of a grid you need is included with this item and I was well pleased with the quality of light it puts out with double diffusion layers. At $149.00 for the 36 inch octa it’s perhaps somewhat more than other similar sized Glow models but I found the extra cost well worth it due to how easy it is to deploy and start shooting. I give it a definite 5 star recommendation.

Really great diffuser. have used several 42" 44" 48" easily collapsible softboxes or octaboxes and they are way better than that old tedious style of putting the metal rods in by hand and struggling with that system. any quick disassembly assebmly box is better than that.this one suffers from one annoying flaw that probably no one has brought up , that the folding clamp to open the octabox can be really tight! i mean like you feel like you're going to break it. it may be that my unit is really new and then it wont feel that way after a while. other annoyance is that you have to hold the circle clamp a certain way , to release the octabox into collapsed mode and it makes enough of a snappy sound - because of the pressure it is under, to startle clients and myself if you're within certain feet -meters of it. i had to figure out a way to hold it to release "softly" without such a high volume sound and it worked, but it snot in any manuals. so i did deduct a star, which i might add later if the diffuser becomes looser after more use. but now i've done 10 sessions and see no difference. so it might just be the way it is built..otherwise a good light diffuser in its own right i keep the inner diffuser on permanently now.

I use this softbox as my go to when traveling ot on location. Collapes so flat. With this series you could get 2 softbox3s in your suitcase with no problem.

I use their other Softbox the paraglow I think essentially the same size this is a lot more convenient and with the ad600 it will collapse on the stand making it a lot easier to maneuver through doors and just to take down while your not using and the wind won’t take the stand down kinda pricey but I think it’s worth it especially if you don’t already own A 40ish” Softbox

This is an absolute game changer. No umbrella mechanism to deal with, you just snap it open, and go. This makes setup so much quicker and easier, it's a real godsend.
