GRAPENT Women's Plus Size Sequin 3/4 Sleeves Evening Gown Party Long Maxi Dress

I bought this dress which runs very true to size to wear to a formal evening wedding. It was so perfect! It was comfortable and dressy but classy and not too much.. I wore with a cute strapped ballet slipper shoe and I felt really appropriately dressed and looked sophisticated but not overdone!!

This dress was purchased for a formal event in 4 different sizes because I didn't know my size.The dress is extremely well made, but three out of the four were too small. I love and wore the style with the champagne under skirt, especially perfect in the summer.Who knew you could purchase formal attire on Amazon for less than $100!

I purchased XXL (the size chart says this is an 18W-20W), my usual dress size.I'm 5'6, 265 lbs. Beneath I am wearing a 46DDD bra, shapewear, and a lace camisole to cover my bust.The dress is extremely flattering. The delicate fabric was delivered without any damage or odd smells. I do take issue with a few minor details:The upper portion of the dress is not very stretchy. I'm a large woman and large women tend to have large upper arms. I understand the intention was for it to be form-fitting, however, there are fabrics out there that would hug my arm without being so tight. It was difficult to adjust the fabric around my arms (was easy to take off though!)The bust is also... very deep. I got a lace camisole to cover up a bit. I'm glad I did, otherwise I would have much more cleavage out which might work for some people but not for meeeeeMost important: If you are autistic or struggle with sensory overload please be aware that the skirt fabric might be too much for you. The shapewear under my dress is protecting my midsection from the horrible seam between the top and the skirt touching me but the hem of the skirt is a potential issue after an extended period of wearing it.

I am a serious BBW who needs to try on everything because of my proportions. This dress hit all the marks. I am 5’10 & the dress hits at tea length. I am an H cup and I had actual full coverage and respectable church wedding cleavage. The material of the bodice stretches in width & length. The lace on the dress and sequin on the skirt of the dress is well done. It’s not form fitting but the transition from the more fitted bodice to skirt give a shapely and non matronly silhouette. When I tried on the dress my husband unprompted said, “Wow that looks great on you”.

I wanted so much to love this dress, especially once it got here. The hemline is SO lovely and exactly what I was looking for, and the dress was 100% true to size based on the size chart, but just about everything else about it was just a little off. The material was just a little lower-quality than I might have liked, but for what I need it for (a concert) that’s not really an issue; the surplice neckline was way too low, even though circumference-wise it was otherwise a fine fit, but it would’ve been hackable with some thread or body tape; the sequins in the body of the skirt were a little bunchy, but again, in a concert setting nobody’s going to be noticing that from the audience. I will say a lot of reviews had issues with the sleeves, and I was worried because I have big arms even for a 3X. I did not find them constricting - and arm coverage and freedom of movement were both big considerations for me, this dress checked both those boxes nicely. None of the things would’ve been enough on its own for me to return, but unfortunately in combination, they were too much for the hemline to outweigh, at least for someone with my garment-altering skill set and limited free time. So bummed.

I bought for a New Year Eve outing to a casino. I got so many compliments, from the time we walked in. From staff and customers at the restaurant, to people walking by, All said how nice I looked and how they loved the dress.

This was the sixth black dress I tried for my son’s wedding and this one was perfect!For fitting…. I followed the directions on measurements and ordered the recommended size. I usually wear a 20W but was recommended a 22W. So I went with that. Perfect fitting, I’m 5’5” so the skirt hit me just right on the front of my legs. No alterations needed. The only issue was the front part it does flop open so I had to pin it to stay closed. Some ladies may like the more open look but I do not. A nice broach or fancy pin would work as well but I just used a safety pin and colored it black so it blended in on the top of the dress.I had many compliments throughout the night. Comfortable to wear and highly recommend.

This was a lovely dress, well made. I had to return because the bodice fabric is a heavy polyester, and the sleeves are extremely narrow. It would not be comfortable for a Summer event.
