Works well
I recently purchased the Bug Zapper for my home and backyard and camping adventures. As someone concerned about the safety of my family and the environment, I was particularly drawn to its key features: its safe and eco-friendly design, and the fact that it operates on electric power.Let me start by saying that this bug zapper truly lives up to its promises. I don't have to worry about harmful chemicals or toxins being released into the air, which gives me peace of mind, especially when using it indoors. Electric power is also a great choice since it eliminates the need for batteries or fuel, making it more cost-effective and environmentally friendly. In terms of performance, this bug zapper really impressed me. With its 18W power, it effectively attracts and eliminates pesky insects both indoors and outdoors. Whether I'm sitting on my patio, cooking in the kitchen, or camping in the wilderness, this bug zapper is up for the task. It effortlessly zaps mosquitoes, flies, and other annoying bugs, providing a bug-free environment for me and my family.Another aspect I appreciate about this bug zapper is its durability.Overall, my experience with the Bug Zapper Electric 18W Outdoor Indoor has been extremely positive. It not only works well, but it also ticks all the boxes for being safe and eco-friendly.

Electric Mosquito Zapper Insect Killer is SAFE to use and VERY EFFECTIVE
I have a frequent mosquito problem here in NJ. We have lots of fruit always on the ground from 3 different trees in the summer and there are bugs galore. Also, we have a lush garden and they like to hang out in the shade. I put this Electric Mosquito Zapper Insect Killer near my back door, since every time I opened the door to go into my backyard, the bugs would fly right in to enjoy my A/C and once inside, I would get tons of insect bites.I love that this bug killer light has a good shield and is perfectly Safe for me to use.It has been VERY EFFECTIVE in killing those pesky bugs that were bugging me near my door!I am so happy to have found this light and use it always. At 18 watts, it is good as a light by the door, in lieu of the fixture, as the other light attracted bugs and they stayed alive and flying. Now I no longer need to be as concerned with mosquitos entering through my back door in droves and fewer bites to keep me awake at night in pain and itching. I recommend that everyone should have one of these near their door as well, for the perfect shield against those pesky mosquitos!

Strong zapper with a smart toggle, but it has some design flaws
When we first hooked this up in our living room (which has a door leading to our backyard), it began zapping away multiple times every minute. When we checked the tray later, we found tons of dead microscopic flies and fruit flies, the kind that are so small you don't even notice them most of the time. There were also a number of larger flies, and two mosquitos, all dead. So this zapper certainly works quite well. It's pretty big compared to many zappers, but that's a good thing in my opinion, since it makes it a lot easier to clean, in terms of getting the brush in between the gaps. The tray comes out easily, and it was easy to clean. This zapper is rated at 4300V, which is pretty high and strong for a bug zapper, which explains why it works so effectively. Unfortunately, the cable is pretty short, which really limits where you can place it, and the hook doesn't have a gap, so you can't hang it on any pipes or rings, only hooks. It includes a clever mechanism to automatically toggle it on and off with its light sensor, something I haven't seen in another zapper before. The mechanism works well, albeit being slightly cumbersome to work with, given its positioning right below the hook. It also has its labels inverted, implying the opposite direction for each state. In the end, we decided to settle on using its standard on/off behavior in general, but it's good to know the option exists to have it auto-toggle, particularly for the times we'd bring it outdoors. As clever as the auto toggle mechanism is, this zapper suffers from a design flaw that I have yet to find a single zapper resolve. there is no place to store the cleaning brush on the zapper, so it just sits loose, waiting to get lost. All it takes is a simple design adjustment, a simple little insert groove on the body or under the tray, but nobody seems to have done it yet. This model has plenty of surface area where it could have been done, so it's a real missed opportunity that would have made this zapper stand out all the more from the rest for its smart design. Well, at least it's easy enough to make your own makeshift holder, with one little strip of tape. Even scotch tape works. So far this has proven to be a solid and reliable zapper, although not necessarily worth it at this price. It has a few design flaws that keep it from being a standout. If the price goes down to below $25, then it's a good deal and worth getting. Hopefully one day there will be a zapper that holds its own cleaning brush.
