If you're in the market for LED fog lights for your 5th gen Toyota 4Runner, look no further than these Auxbeam pod style fog lights. Bright, well built, and they're plug and play! BUILD QUALITY & HARDWARE: The lights themselves are made with cast aluminum and feel sturdy, heavy and seem to be well put together. There are two mounting points on each side of the light and the kit comes with mounting brackets and all necessary hardware to surface mount your lights. It also comes with a wiring kit, which I did not use. I also purchased the Tacoma/4Runner kit which came with new bezels, mounting hardware and pig-tail adapter that adapts from the Auxbeam deutsch style connector to H11. The kit comes with two lenses, one amber/yellow and one clear. Behind each lens is a soft, what feels like silicone, seal which sits in a groove in the aluminum housing. I have faith that these will remain water tight as long as the seal is installed properly in the groove when changing the lens (check the gasket and allen screws before installing). My only real gripe with these lights is the paint/powder coat is inconsistent. The cooling fins are not properly painted and there are definitely lighter areas that don't have a complete coat of paint. If you're installing these behind a grill, in a bumper, or foglight housing, its not going to be an issue. INSTALLATION/TIPS If you are installing these on a 4Runner, be aware that there are NO INSTRUCTIONS provided by Auxbeam and there are only a few videos online to guide you through the installation process. Anyone with a little DIY knowhow can figure it out, but it would have been nice to include a quick guide, pictures, or instructions. If installing in a 4runner's factory fog light housing, remember to rotate and instal the bezel 90 degrees so that the larger part of the bezel is facing towards the center of the truck when you instal the light. You will also have a little play, like 3/16th or less, to manipulate the light and reduce gaps. Don't tighten the two screws until you're satisfied with the gap and a second pair of hands would be helpful. The passenger OEM foglight on 4runners is covered by a rear plastic shield which can be a pain to remove. Undo 3-4 clips that hold the the front foglight plastic bezel, move it out of the way a bit and undo the shield clips from the front and it will pop out the back. I am satisfied with the fitment (see pics) as I was able to get the passenger side light dead on, but struggled with the driver side. For good measure, I added clear high temp silicone to properly set the gasket in the groove before assembly and added dielectric grease to the connectors to prevent corrosion. PERFORMACE Okay so these lights exceeded my expectations. Light output has to be at least equal or greater to my retrofitted LED headlight bulbs I installed last year. I opted to install the clear lenses as I needed more visibility on rural/forrest/desert roads as opposed to inclement/dusty weather and I don't off road at night. Without any kind of diffusion, they throw light high into the trees and well out towards the sides, illuminating the side of road. It's "brute force" lighting with little light control. The included amber lenses are split with a diffuser only at the bottom and I would think that might give you a little better light control. I'm happy with this set up though as it increases night visibility exponentially. I'm satisfied with the color, they don't quite match by headlights and I would guess they are just below 6500k. CONCLUSION If you're looking for reasonably priced LED pod-style fog lights or you want to replace those terrible 4Runner halogen fog lights, these are a good bet. I won't speak about longevity as I've just installed them but for the price, you get a lot of light output. I'm now looking to buy another set and install them with amber lenses behind my grill, they are THAT good.

Great beam pattern, super bright and the amber color is perfect, unlike the amber on their light bars, which is too dark. This is my second pair, the first are on ditch light pods, these are going in the bumper.

They are quite bright. Decent quality. However one light was a good bit brighter than the other. Gave it some time to maybe burn in but still an annoying difference between the two.
