Best for homes, single pane-of-glass management, cheaper direct
As you probably now, these are "pro-sumer" territory or (very) small business, offering more complex deployments than your consumer router/mesh system. Note it is just a WiFi access point (AP) and not a router and has a single (Ethernet) port - thus you will need a router/firewall, switch (POE if possible) and a place to host the (software) controller (Pi, VM, cloud, etc.)Like the previous FlexHD, if you are going to use it in a normal home - standing up - thus not ceiling mounted - this is probably the best model to get. If not fixed down, try a sticky beer-mat or something so that you don't topple it over. You are also likely to need more than 1 unless a small flat; a spread-out bungalow/flat will require more; a multi-storey house may need one per floor (see how it goes). An injector (PSU) is included but you may want to use a POE switch especially if you have POE cameras also.Performance wise, don't expect this to beat a top-end consumer WiFi router (e.g. Asus); but in practice the WiFi data rates (not maximum link rates) won't be high enough to matter to the single 1Gbe port. But the real reason you may want this - is the single pane-of-glass management software controller to manage multiple APs, switches, cameras and perhaps even a gateway. While a bit more ropy these days, it is still likely the cheapest option for a home or (very) small business. If you're happy with just an app on your phone to do the management, then most mesh systems provide that.Unfortunately since AZ does not seem to sell the Mesh themselves for some reason (but sell Lites, Pro, LR) - the price here from resellers is quite high. So best buy direct from the EU store.

Runs very hot
Does what it needs to but runs very hot. Concerned me at first but it is a known fact.

Not suitable for outside
The product is supposedly IPX-5 rated, meaning it is waterproof against a low-pressure stream from any angle. It was installed as per the photo, which is consistent with Unifi's instructions. Within days, it had died. When inspected, so much water had got into the thing that it was sloshing around inside the casing.I don't know if it's a defective unit (I can't see a crack anywhere) or a design fault. May never know, because the box went into recycling and NetXL (the vendor) require the original box in order to accept a return.

Ticks the boxes but leaves a lot to be desired ......
Bought from Ubiquiti directly. This is a wifi 6 access point. Not sure about 'mesh' in the name because pretty much ALL unifi products can mesh.Anyway, performance is okay, not super fast or anything.Biggest concerns are:- cable management - there is so little room for an ethernet plug that it borders on criminal. If you used Cat6a or similar cable with metal plug, then don't bother as you'll end up in damaging the cable or plug or both.- temperature - this runs ridiculously hot. Temperature is consistently between 55-60 centigrade. This is the external case temperature so god only knows what the internal temperature is?! In any case, this can't be good for the electronics. Also, because of the ridiculous temperature, you need to be careful where you place this. Leaving it outside, and you will cause burns to people (especially kids). Leaving it inside en enclosure could be a potential fire hazard.

Great product
I loved adding these so much better than the mesh networks that split your speed. Easily see them on the app and signal strength is strong. They do run hot at times but I was told this is normal.

High performance high quality product
It access points installation was too easy and too fast , it took less than a min for it to pull all configs and start running. The access point is very versatile for outdoor and indoor either standing , wall-mounted or even hanging from the ceiling.Coverage is amazing , I’m living in a thick-walled apartment and this relatively small sized access point signal covered was “spider-like” ones couldn’t.Furthermore, this AP is companioned with WIFIMAN app which makes troubleshooting so easy.Seller was very responsive and after sale support felt like family ( ITC )
