7mm is a great fit for my 3.5mm cord.
Giving 4 stars even though it was better than I hoped. The thing is, I have a 3.5mm cord. I bought the 7mm beads. Best example is the photo in description that says "Applications". Shows a bead and a 12v (cigarette lighter) cord. If you look at the opening of the bead in that photo you see little teeth and a V shape. Long story short, the 7mm bead fit my 3.5mm cord. I thought I would wrap the cord through it twice to hold it in place. As if two cords were running through it. Turned out that that wouldn't work. One pass and those little teeth bite down into the cord holding the bead in place. So... 7mm is a great fit for my 3.5mm cord. Not sure if 7mm would work well on a 7mm cord. The teeth might bite down too hard. If I were to need/buy another. I would up-size to double or near double the diameter of my cord. Now hopefully it cuts out what little interference I have in the audio on my dash cam. Also, seems to be made well. The little latch clips seem strong and appear to be of a grade that shouldn't break easily as applied.

Using these to block FM radiation on outdoor CAT5e at tower sites
These click onto ToughCable Pro, if you squeeze hard. We have cables on a tower at 92.5 MHz at 60KW EIRP, and our gear is about 40' from the antenna bay. With our cables less than 10' long and one choke per 1/4 wave, we don't lose gigabit links.

Feedback interference control
Have to be careful when ordering size. These were not as large as we needed, size showing in metric hard to compare to US measurements. Lucky we were able to use them elsewhere. Easy solution to radio frequency feedback in system

As described
I bought these to filter RFI getting into USB cables. They worked for me

didn't help much on sound noise.
the 5 mm didn't fit the 5 mm cable needed 7 mm apparently. didnt cut down the noise we are getting. may be better ones or more. not o sure. this was a recommendation.

Doesn't fit cables stated in description
The description states that this fits USB and HDMI cables. This did not fit either of the two. This ferrite core fits around cables such as iPhone charging cables and a small selection of skinnier/slimmer USB cables.

Good to have around in large RF fields.
They look OK and are easy to clip on to most power leads.

Well made product. Review Update.
These units present as well designed and well made with quality materials having been used. They did not work for my purposes (i.e. reducing static on my garage radio under LED lights) but they may well work if used on the HDMI cable they are designed for. I may try attaching more of them to my radio cables to see if that might help.Review update. For users who are having trouble with LED lights producing static in garage radios, we live in a marginal radio signal area. I bought these beads to hopefully address the problem. While they did not work when I placed the beads on the 110 V radio cord, when I added them to the radio antenna wire (one on each end looped around and through the beads), they reduced static by about 95%. In short, they really work! I now have a usable garage radio again. Hope this helps! – Doug

Eliminated HDMI “hum” in my audio system
I upgraded my home theatre system with a new AppleTV capable of Atmos audio and video. I started hearing a hum in the audio system during quite scenes or the menu screens. I tried expensive power line filters to eliminate ground loops but they did not help. I traced it down to the HDMI cables and upgraded to expensive HDMI cables that didn’t help. I found these ferrite beads that i put right on the HDMI cable at the AppleTV and the noise is gone! Cheap fix that I wish I had tried first.

Didn’t help for my needs
I purchased these with the hopes of blocking HF RF noise from my Wi-Fi and other computing devices. It didn’t seem to have any impact. It would be useful if the vendor would let us know the ferrite mix so we can determine if it’ll block the appropriate frequency range or not

Good value
Fit well wire size less than 4mm dia. Not suitable for larger cable. Inductance measured over a clamped wire is around 830 nH, so quite effective. A bit difficult to unclip once closed.

Made 0 difference
They don't work on cable to dash cam
