A Slice of the Marvel Universe
I bought this volume, number 2 of the series, because I was interested in reading ALL of the FANTASTIC FOUR that I remember from my youth. Issues 19 through 32 are included in their entirety, even the covers!Although it is subtitled THE MASTER PLAN of DOCTOR DOOM, Doom doesn't apoear until page 144, Issue# 23 and then again in FANTASTIC FOUR ANNUAL # 2, which is completely devoted to this villain. 42 pagesThat is one of the things I liked about this volume - not too much DOOM!Several superheroes guest star such as the X-MEN, who battle the FF because the PUPPET MASTER has taken over Xavier's mind. The AVENGERS enlist the FF to find the HULK. SPIDER-MAN seeks employment, incorrectly thinking that there is money to be made. Villains in this volume are PHAROAH, MOLECULE MAN, HATE-MONGER, DIABLO and SUB-MARINER.There are some nifty extras, such as 12 full page pictures of various villains, and 3 q&a pages and 5 pin-up pictures of the four team members and Alicia. The only thing I didn't like about this volume is that a certain person appeared and died in the same issue.

I highly recommend reading this. The Classic Fantastic Four is awesome, along with a lot of classic Marvel Comics. I am looking forward to reading more.

The one with Galactus!
The book arrived in good condition. I've wanted to read the original "Galactus Trilogy" for some time, this not only had that, but, with the previous three volumes, open a window on a strange and enjoyable age of comics. Perhaps a little cheesy, definitely a bit corny, but always a classic.

Dare I say it - a FANTASTIC volune!!
Great early run of FF tales. One can see King Kirby becoming ever more confident and refined in his renderings, and Stan's dialogue just keeps getting better!

but it's great to revisit these early works and in this volume ...
These are early stories so the chief value lies more in nostalgia than in quality, but it's great to revisit these early works and in this volume you can start to see why FF became "The World's Greatest Comics Magazine".
