Worked great on open face reel but I couldn’t get it to work on a bait, casting reel.

I haven’t had time to use them yet.But I think this is just what we are looking for.My brother-in-law who’s been blind since birth loves to fish, but always struggles. I think this will solve some problems.

Construction is a little flimsy, but not unexpected for the price point. Works as advertised.

The sound is loud and can't be adjusted. But I actually like it loud. That way if I'm farther away, I can hear it. Especially being outside where there are a bunch of other noises going around. It feels like a really cheap plastic and I feel like I can easily accidentally break it or if it bumps into something. The biggest complaint I have about it is that the clip is a little too big. You can't really use on skinnier rods. I have some 13 Fishing Fate Medium Heavy Fast action rods that I wanted to put them on for catfishing, but it doesn't stay. I am going to need to add something onto the rod to make it thicker so that I can clip these on to it.

The media could not be loaded.  I received the package on time, but upon testing the 2 pieces, 1 of them didn't work. The item itself seems to have weak batteries. For what it's worth, I would order them again.

They work well for me. However the alarm is annoyingly loud. And for all practical purposes fishing is supposed to be a serene sort of activity. Your fishing neighbors will object to the harsh alarm disturbing their commune with nature everytime you catch a fish. They get to hear “WEE O WEE O WEE O” until you in a panic run to shut it off. And don’t be lulled into a sense of security just because you don’t see anyone to either side of you. The sound CARRYS! People across the lake or on it hear it too! You know that when you hear a disembodied voice shout “What the *€>%#* was that!) anyway just saying….
