Tetra Tropical flakes
I prefer paying extra for the flakes as the granule formulas seem to end up in the filters rather than the fish, and the water stays clean for longer. It cracks me up the rate features asked me to rate the favor. Sorry, dudes, I'm not taste-testing the fish food for you. I will comment I've had to start placing the container out of cat reach as one of my cats loves the stuff.

My fish loved this more than they should
I opened the can and the 2 of my 3 fish smiled at me. I sprinkled it in the aquarium and they ate it like it was crack cocaine. Which is weird since fish don't usually eat crack cocaine but today they went through the motions. Probably because this product tasted so good they didn't know what was up. So would I recommend this? Heck yeah! Give your fish this stuff. They will literally jump out of the water and kiss your forehead if they could but instead they will eat this. Thank you Mr. or Misses Fish-Food-Company.

This is a surprisingly large container for the price
I have to apologize in advance to any potential readers of this review: I gave it 5 star for value but I did not rate this product for Flavor or Thickness. I did not taste the food. I feel the flake thickness is neither a 1 star nor a 5 star; they are just thin.Great value for the money. My fish seem to thrive on this brand of food.

fish food
Best price on this I could find. This is a huge canister though, so just be aware of that. The jar is probably 8-10 inches tall and 3 inches diameter. There are a lot of flakes in here. I have a 55 gallon tank and probably around 20 fish, and this lasts months. It will probably last me most of the year. I don't necessarily notice any brighter colors on the fish, but they are all healthy and happy and it's fish food...I'm sorry I did not try it so I cannot comment on the flavor. I've been asking my fish, but they just ignore me. If I can get an answer on the flavor I will report back.

Great flaked food for your tropical freshwater fish
I’ve used this product for years. I was Iill and couldn’t swing by the store so I ordered it. It was actually less expensive than what I pay in the store. I don’t know if it enhances the color but all my fish are bright, colorful and happy. I have 4 very large angle fish that really need cichlid food. I have over 50 platy’s and 4 gouramis that get there nourishment from these flakes. I have a 55 gallon tank with an outside filter. The angels do eat it but they also feast on the platy’s fry. They platy’s reproduce so quickly and in multiples. They are livebearers and before you know it you can have a tankful. ( like a hundred) I got the angel fish for this reason. They have controlled the reproduction. These flakes can be messy. I do have to do filter changes more often because of the overcrowding and the flaked food. You can tell the product does contain a red dye because my filter pads turn red. You can’t feed too much at one time or you will have to do more frequent water changes. Tetra does make a crunchier flake that doesn’t sink as fast and the fish have more time to eat. What I really need are some bottom feeders. My tank is a 55 gallon. If you have a smaller tank with just a few fish I would recommend an automatic feeder. You can purchase timer that puts out small amounts at various times. I have way too many platy’s. I used to sell or give them to a fish store but they closed. Most fish stores won’t take your fish because of diseases they may carry. I just have to wait till the cycle repeats and eventually is in control.

Enormous!
A HUGE canister for a very fair price. We use this for our fish, but also to supplement our feeder animals (crickets, mealworms, isopods). Having a large supply is a real time saver and gives me peace of mind as well.

Happy fish, happy life
i have 6 different types of fish in one thank.. 3 Parrotfish, 1 rainbow fish, 4 dando fish, 5 mini catfish, 3 Angelfish, an algae eater that sucks on the side of my tank (can't think of name), snails, and they ALL love this. I use the algae pellets for the bottom feeders but they all still eat this. Great food. They love feeding time :)ON A SIDE NOTE: my fish tank guy was here yesterday, and when I told him I paid ~$12 for 7oz, his jaw dropped. he said its $25-30+ in stores. Great deal . As usual Amazon comes through :)Update: sooo I've been feeding all my fish this (and pellets for catfish, etc) for about 6 months. They absolutely love these flakes. I incidentally over fed them at first, due to them basically begging for food and tricking me lol, until my fish guy instructed me on just how little to give them and the parrot fish (like large goldfish) have slimmed down and the angelfish look like show fish. This food really increased their color and beauty. I would recommend this food to anyone with fish that eat flakes. Absolute bargain, too.

Made My Fish Happy
To be honest, I ordered this product because it was cheaper than my LFS (Local Fish Store). Surprise, surprise. My fish love this stuff. I have Bettas, Guppies, Barbs, Neon Tetras and an assortment of bottom feeders. This made them very happy.
