Wildfire18% Pepper Spray

Good but not great. Had this for around 9 months, then tested it against Sabre Red lipstick and a similar lipstick product. This product didn't have as strong a stream, it didn't spray as far, or last as long. This product is more masculine looking, but I'll buy more of the Sabre Red lipstick ones.

Its small and compact. I haven't had the need to use it so I don't know how well it will it will work. Hopefully when the need arises it will work as advertised.

I am on my third pepper spray so trust this review. I walk for exercise almost every day. We have certain people in our neighborhood that have pitbulls running loose when I am walking. I am not bashing pitbulls, I actually like them. They can be wonderful dogs raised in a loving home. It just seems people with bad dog raising skills gravitate to them. So I have had several scary experiences with these large, tenacious dogs. (Yes, owning a pitbull is illegal in our city but that law is winked at here)So you can believe me when I say this spray really works on dogs. A charging pitbull when sprayed in the face will stop, shake its head and run away. They stear clear of me after that.. I have seen nothing that makes me believe the spray damages the dogs permanently in any way (except thier ego).The spray easily reaches 8 feet(but possibly more) with a nice staight hefty spray. I have never had a problem with the container. I now don't go anywhere without this in my pocket. Of course I don't on purpose put myself in danger, but I feel a little safer knowing I can get myself a few seconds to get out of danger. I have never had one leak. The plunger flips to the side so it can't accidently spray in my pocket.Cons: realize this is a larger then normal container. It is a little bulky. But you have more spray if you need it. This is the only con I can possibly see. I actually like it a little larger. It is easier to get out of my pocket and get the plunger off safety.So I can truly say, I trust Wildfire 18% Pepper Spray!

Although this is the best pepper spray and the most powerful on the market, stay away from this size refering to the 1/2 oz edition. The trigger mechanism is not secure at all, meaning that it can and will definately go off in your pocket, or purse if your a female....Instead buy the bigger one the 1oz edition which has a very nice safety LOCK on it that it will definately not spray when its in the ''off'' position....this size here is unpredictable and you wouldn't want to get maced by accident....this stuff is no joke! I accidently ordered this thinking this was the 1oz but instead received the smaller 1/2 oz one....if I knew in advance I wouldn't of ordered...way better deals on amazon for the 1oz version.

Gets 5 if I have to use it and it works

Only got the 1/2 oz. I thought it was the 2 ounce one.
