I have a 1990 Toyota pickup with the 22r motor. Perfect fit and seems to be upgraded compared to the OE part. A week later and my truck is driving very well. Very easy to tune, no leaks, easy to install and an excellent value. Performs very well so far.

My 22R engine needed a new carburetor, so I ordered this one not too long ago, and I am pretty satisfied with the item that I got. Installing the carburetor was uncomplicated, and it functioned well once it was in place. My vehicle's performance has significantly enhanced since I replaced the carburetor with the new one, and I attribute this to the quality. It is less difficult to start, operates more smoothly at idle, and provides more power when accelerating. The carburetor is of highly excellent quality since it has successfully withstood the test of time. Everyone who owns a 22R engine should seriously consider installing this carburetor replacement. Using this model, your vehicle's performance can be significantly improved dependably and economically.

The carb seems to work ok, but I can't figure out what this diaphragm in the front of the carb is for. My CA 22r stock carb dose not have any of this up front and there is a plate covering the outer vent control valve. I was happy with this fofbthe first couple weeks until suddenly my truck started losing power and making a low but loud sputtering noise.its posible that it's the catalytic converter and it has gotten blocked up or clogged, but why now and why after I put on this new carb with a missing part and a part that in it's description? It does not explain what it does or is for. How hard is it to just make the same carb. Sure they use lower quality materials to lower cost, but why mess with a tried and proven carborator. I don't get it. If anyone knows please let me know. For the most part the carb is OK. I font know if it will pass smog without the OVCV. I kinda doubt it. If you dontblive in Cali then no big deal I guess.

This was basically a direct replacement for the carb on my 1986 Toyota pickup with the 22R. Other than a minor tweak of the linkage it installed without a problem and runs well. It solved the issue of an erratic idle. I'm amazed that a carburetor for a thirty six year old truck was available at such a reasonable price.

I threw this on an '87 4Runner and it worked. This is only meant to be a quick fix until I find a better replacement part and it has fulfilled that purpose. Installation was easy enough, I didn't really run into any issues so that was nice. It looks and feels like you might expect which isn't great but it's not terrible either. I've only had it on and running for a few days now so I will be keeping an eye on it. I've driven a lot in those few days but if anything happens in the future, I will be back to update my review.
