Alienware Elite Gaming Mouse that allows anyone to Game Their Way with customization options!
The very first thing I must say is that I am a very picky mouse user. I have a problem with mice when there is no support for my right fingers - which tends to cramp and make my experience difficult. I use a Logitech Track Ball for work, but I wanted something I could assign macros to and tailor to different game requirements.I tried a LOT of different mice from Alienware, ROCCAT, Logitech and Corsair. All of them were great mice for gamers - but they really hurt my hand. Trying to google "mice for sore pinky" led me to a few forum posts where the AW958 was mentioned in a brief post.At a glance, the AW958 Mouse sports a unique look that oozes class and boasts a low profile design. There are a few notable exceptions - the cable is braided, the mouse buttons are firm easy to reach and feel fantastic when clicking, and the sides and palm rest are just the right fit.The mouse is unique in a couple ways. The "wings" have a gap between them and the top of the mouse, making for a aggressive design that is hard to match. The side buttons are flat with a lip on the upper edge of each button. I found the button location is much better due to the slightly lower placement. You can swap the 2 button wing for the included six-button wing for a MMO style setup. The buttons on the six-button wing are a bit higher then the buttons on the two-button wing.Another big option included in the box is adjustable weights. When you turn the mouse over, you’ll notice a pair of grooved sections on the back. Pushing these in will cause them to pop back and you can then remove them to expose the weight trays. Each weight tray can house up to two of the included 5g weights, allowing you to increase the weight of the mouse by 5, 10, 15, or 20g. It's another feature that sets this apart from competitors in the same price space. Finally, the Alienware Control Software can be downloaded to set up lots of different options. The ACC is split into three main screens: Lighting, Macros, and Settings. The Lighting tab is pretty self-explanatory and lets you specify a color, choose from six presets, and adjust the tempo. If you are looking for a mouse that needs to fit just right, I would give this a serious look. Yes, its a few years old - however at the time I am writing this review, there are quite a few new ones for sale. It is the first time in a very long history of cheap plastic products that I can say it was worth every single penny. I would have easily paid double to get the features I have.Thank you to the Dell Alienware team for creating such a great piece of hardware for those of us that cant use any mouse with the "claw" grip. I am not an employee of Dell, and I was not sent this to review.

Incredible mouse at a great price!
So I'm coming from a razer Naga chroma mouse, I've been using that thing for years but recently it's been having tracking issues and I think the wire is finally starting to give out cause it'll momentarily disconnect so I decided to get a new mouse to replace it and since all my other peripherials are Alienware this was an obvious choice for me. The only concern I had was the number of buttons on the side but honestly I found myself only using 4-6 buttons on the side of my mouse at basically any given time aside from mmos so seeing this mouse had the option to switch between 2 and 6 buttons was a great feature for me and even more so the other side comes with adjustable width parts so you can really get the right feel for it in your hand and it's incredibly comfy especially after your first day using it and breaking it in. I recommend very much, super nice, easy to use, the rgb is simple but very cool looking, and overall I love it :)

Best Alienware Mouse Yet!
This mouse is the best! There is so much adjustability, it feels amazing once you get used to it and the interchangeable parts are great; the price is almost justifiable because you are pretty much getting two mice with all the swappable parts. I don't have to say much about the overall "look" of the mouse because the pictures do it justice. Once you move the adjustable palm rest back a click or two the mouse looks so amazing. The software is fantastic Im not sure why everyone is having trouble using it, you can put multiple keystrokes on each button and it is extremely simple and super convenient for gaming. All you have to do is record your keystroke and click and drag it onto which ever button on the model of the mouse you want. The only trouble I am having is I can only bind the keys to the interchangeable sides (8 buttons altogether) and it says "13 programable buttons" so I'm not sure whats up with that.Either way I love this mouse a bunch, its extremely fun to use and the fact that it has onboard memory mean it will function (and does function) the same on all computers. This is probably the best part of the mouse in my mind because I use my mac to play osrs and I can simply plug the mouse into my subpar pc and customize each button & color and plug it into my mac and it functions exactly the same.*UPDATE* - (2/03/2019) The scroll wheel is acting up and basically no longer works. Mouse lasted only a year or so.....

Amazing mouse w/ tons of customization but...
I love this mouse and it has an amazing design with a multitude of options to customize it to your likings. I love how bit it is and how you can extend it to your palm size for large handed people like me. One thing i do dislike about the mouse is that it is hard to lift. The design has one major flaw and that it is hard to grip and lift. You have to find a way to grip the sides without clicking on anything or learn how to drag it sideways without the sensor reading the mousepad. Other then that its a solid mouse but 4/5 stars for the one flaw.

all pure plastic.
Don't get me wrong, this is a good mouse, have a ton of customization on the ergonomics, you can make it to fit on any hand nice and comfortable, but its the cheap plastic( which is a signature on every dell product) feeling that it has that i don't like. overall i got a Logitech c502 and its so much better.

Trust me, don't buy this. Especially for the people with small hands, this mouse is too big in the hands. It feels cheap as well. I've already returned this. Go get razer mamba.

Feels and looks amazing
Has a great "in-hand" feel, along with quite a few customization options for lighting through the Alienware Command Center app. The detachable sides can be easily swapped, as they are magnetized - very sturdy when in use as well. You'd never know they're detachable!
