PD USB charger for Dell (and other)
There's a lght on the USB plug lets you know it's getting power. 130 watts is enough for many laptops, including some with discrete video.

works!
finally found the right cord that works with my dell xps! it also works on my chromebook, it charges super fast! idk if im supposed to use it on my chromebook or only on my xps, but either way if im in a pinch this charger is gonna save me. my last one got chewed through by my dog and i have tried many chargers since then. they end up working for a couple days and then my xps doesn’t like the charger (kinda like how it did with my chromebook charger) read online that it’s bc they weren’t strong enough or something. idk i ain’t all that in the intelligence department. all i do know is this works and now i can do my homework

Be Careful, Ours Melted and Burned my Son's Fingers
My son used this adapter twice. The second time he used it (on his new XPS17 9730), he noticed his laptop stopped charging and when he reached down to grab the brick to make sure it was plugged in, it burned his fingers quite badly. The brick was extremely hot and melting, see the photos, the plastic was so hot it was soft and buldging outwards. It is the exact part number of the brick that came with the laptop from Dell so we know it is the correct adapter (HA130PM170). We just wanted a second adapter so purchased this one from Amazon. There are tons of non-Dell, cheaper alternatives but we thought we would be safe and order the more costly Dell branded adapter. Guess that did not work out this time.I hope this does not happen to anyone else. I have used laptops with adapters for as long as laptops have existed and have never had this happen before. For now on, we will definitely monitor a new adapter for a while to make sure it is not faulty. We are lucky it did not start a fire.

Genuine Dell OEM and works as expected
It's the real deal at a fraction of what Dell charges.

Its Dell. It will work well, but over priced and minimal features.
Its Dell so it will work for what it is for a while. What they never seem to get is how to connect to a laptop without causing a failure point. Knowing big corporations, its most likely intentional so they can sell more. The strain relief that helps keeps the cable from making a sharp bend out the back of the connector is all of a whopping half inch long, yeaa..... The USB type C connection has some nice benefits to it but they made the plug stick way far out from the connection point as if they want it to get caught on stuff so it will break. If they made the end of the connector under a half inch and increased the strain relief to a functional length like 2 inches, this would get 5 stars. As it is, my cable makes a sharp bend off the end, hanging in the air and the connector stick almost a full inch out the side of my laptop. I hate Mac's but I do love their magnetic low profile power connectors... Genius!! Wish Dell would take a hint... I'm not the only one with this kind of review....

Appears To Be The Real Deal
I bought this (more expensive) power supply after a cheaper one turned out to be a counterfeit. This one matches the model that came with my XPS15 9520, and more importantly, it doesn't get hot and it doesn't trigger "slow charger" warnings like the other one did. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.

We received exactly what we expected
It's a Dell, branded as expected, and it works perfectly as expected. The price was close to what Dell was asking on their own website, but Dell wanted an additional $20 to ship...made an easy decision out of the choice to redirect my purchasing $$ to Amazon. I have no complaints.
