A really interesting read on the struggle to re-introduce the beaver back into our rivers

Amazing book, wonderfully written. Beavers are so misunderstood but they do the most amazing work in restoring our environment. This books explains easlily and clearly what has happened to the beavers over years, why they were no longer in the UK and how one brave and commited person found the way to get them reintrodduced despite all the difficulties.

Very much enjoyed, loved the information about how things happened etc, very good follow on from Wilding by Isabella Tree which links into the Beavers

I loved this wildlife book with a diffiernce. A glorious evocative elegy to wetland life and a laugh out loud wild riot’ brilliantly belted out by the Joe Strummer of conservation.
