Review: Fantastic Center Channel Speaker - I purchased this speaker to replace an old small Bose center channel speaker I had been using for many years. I decided to replace it as it was becoming harder to understand spoken parts in many movies and current shows. I got this as it was to be placed under my TV on a shelf attached to the wall mount. It just does fit on the shelf as it is wider than my previous speaker. If you want a Klipsch center speaker to go on your wall mount shelf this is going to be your only choice from what I could find. Other speakers were much wider and would never fit, so make sure you check your measurements for your shelf and the speaker, as well as, how much weight your mount and shelf can hold. Back to the speaker, it looks beautiful and the sound quality is years ahead of my last speaker. The clarity of spoken lines is excellent and the mid-range is great. It made all my TV watching so much better and clearer. Thias is part of a5.1 surround sound system with 2 Klipsch Floor speakers as front left and right speakers and two Bose speakers in the back, left and right. I expect I will replace those two rear Bose speakers once I save up some money too. I have found I really like the sound of Klipsch speakers above all others I have listened to. I highly recommend this speaker for your home theater system.

A: Thanks for your question. A center channel speaker is designed specifically to function positioned between front left and right speakers. Using it as an LCR (vertically) will compromise dispersion and tonal balance.

A: From our Klipsch experts at ListenUp: Yes! We can say with confidence that this is a massive upgrade from the Klipsch C-2. The RP-404C II has newer technology, better drivers, and a better design. You'll definitely hear the improvements if you upgrade.

**Q: How big of an upgrade are these over the R34c percentage wise?**
A: The RP-404C will be a dramatic upgrade from the R-34C, as the RP-404C will utilize higher quality materials for the tweeter and woofers.

**Q: Is this really only 6.47" deep?  even though the rp-404c is 13"? why such a difference?**
A: Thanks for your question. The RP-404c II is a sealed cabinet acoustic suspension design which requires a smaller volume enclosure compared to the bass reflex design of the RP-404c.
