Great alternative to hardwired car alarms
Product is very easy to install, and the PIR alarm is very well tuned. Will not alarm to random movements outside vehicle, and goes off within a couple seconds when entering car from front or back. Many of the negative reviews are related to the remote battery life. It runs out within a few weeks for me, but a 6 dollar pack of extras is an easy solution. My downsides: quality of the remote, the volume of under hood alarm could be louder, and it will sometimes go off due to high heat during the day time. Overall works as intended.

Almost impressed
Very easy hookup. Simple charging. Works as expected. My only disappointment is the loudness. With the alarm under the hood and 10 feet away from the living room window. I can not hear the alarm. If I open the window, I can hear it. Next to the car, it sounds loud and that should alert whoever is getting into the car but they will not know that I don't hear it.

Horrible features
I bought this because recently, someone broke in to my car and tried to hotwire it, but fortunately failed, although I did have my dash cam stolen.Installation took literally no more than 5 minutes so that’s good, but here’s where the product starts to fail.1. My first key fob stopped working after the first 3 days. If the key fob fails, your whole system is useless. I had to order a replacement. The key fob is terribly made and you can tell just at a glance it’s poorly made, cheap, and easily falls apart. DO NOT put this in your back pocket. If you sit on it, you will break it.2. If a thief broke in to your car and set the alarm off, all he needs to do is press a button on the car alarm and the sirens stop. This feature boggles my mind. Why would the design team ever implement this horrible feature??3. The sirens are really not that loud at all. No louder than your car’s built in alarm, if not quieter. If you’re lucky, the sirens will be enough to scare a thief.Update: Key fob stopped working after only a week of use!! Even after babying it!? AVOID THID PRODUCT AT ALL COSTS!!

Junk remote let's see how they handle it ?
Easy install . Worked great for a week ,than remote failed. So through trial and error of battery replacement. That would be battery no 3. Conclusion the remote is draining the battery. Maybe a short or something. Either way reported it to the company feel as though I should be compensated. Sent them an email let's see what happens? I will update review later if customer service is satisfied to be continued....... company could care less told me to return rather than give a new remote or fix problem. Stay away garbage!

Very impressed
I have a local crackhead always looking around. I was worried that him or someone was gonna break into my truck and steal 4 years worth of tools. It took me 10 mins to install. Hooks up right to your battery. I attacked the siren to a metal housing. Didn’t even bother with screws. Zip ties are provided. Plugged in the motion sensor to the truck power outlet. I tested motion outside my truck to see if it activated and it didn’t. Mind you I have tinted windows. I opened the door and after 3 seconds the alarm went off. My wife heard it from 300 yards away in our apartment. Thing is super loud. Love it. It’s gonna alert someone, better yet scare any thief trying to get in!

Unfortunate. The remote is junk
Bought this for my truck, alarm works well but the remote control is very poor quality, put it on my keyring and two days later plastic piece broke and the alarm itself fell off and was lost....without the alarm this is not worth anything because Device cannot be armed manually...use better quality materials

Not very loud
I didn't expect it to be loud but a lot of reviews mention how loud it is so I was expecting maybe a bit more based on that. As it stands, it's about as loud as one would expect coming from such a tiny unit. I suspect it will do its job to startle anyone breaking into the car enough to make them leave. Seems well made and works as described so no real complaints.Edit: Stopped working. I had to replace the FOB battery, not a big deal, but the main unit itself is now dead. I had taken it out of the car to charge it in house green light showed full charge but when I went to put it back in the car, it was dead. Pressing the button on the unit itself does nothing, pressing the FOB does nothing. It's dead, Jim.

The remote broke disappointment
I noticed a lot of the reviews said this but was hoping it wouldn't be the case. Well I have barely used it and we'll the remote is broken... I hope the company sees this and sends me a replacement. The product works great just the remote issue.

Could be a 5 star by fixing 3 things
If the alarm goes off, you only have to press the little white button on the device (you don't need the remote) and it stops the alarm. Any thief would know that and stop the alarm right away themselves. This button cannot be disabled so it makes this device useless just because of this. It should not be possible to disable the alarm using the device white button if it was armed with the remote.Second thing is that when you activate the alarm it should beep once on the device and once on the external siren as well but the beep on the external siren almost never works and since you can barely hear the beep inside the car on the device itself it's almost impossible to know if it armed properly.Third is that you only get one remote control and it id not very good and has a very, very short range. As in, you need to be almost right beside the car or else it will not work. It also doesn't react properly every time. Sometimes you need to hold the button for a few seconds for something to happen, sometimes it works right away when you push.Beside those 3 things, it works very well and I would definitely recommend it. But the alarm disablement "feature" on the device itself makes this unfortunately almost useless. They could also try to make the device a bit shorter, as it becomes in the way when it is connected (I usually leave it connected all the time since it needs to recharge).EDIT: Another thing popped up: after a week's usage, the battery (that came with the kit) for the remote control is dead. I tested it and it is almost completely drained, it read 2.3V (should be 3V at the very least) for a CR-2032. Anyways, I replaced it with a newer and higher quality battery and I'll see how long it lasts this time.
