Excellent for counseling in school setting
I am a school psychologist, and I used this to implement as an activity with my elementary aged students. I really like that the game has many different activities within the game and ways to play with a student individually or within a group. I like that the events are age appropriate and my students always get excited to play the games. The games address identifying and processing emotions in a hands on way. I also like that the board and it's pieces are colorful and also include diverse illustrations that represent different races and cultures. I read previous reviews, it seems that in the past the illustrations were more eurocentric, but I am happy that many of my students can identify with the current character illustrations used in the games. I plan to use this game for many years to come.

What a great find!!!
My coworkers and I enjoyed unboxing the game. It is so well organized and engaging. My colleagues and I immediately started discussing which students we would introduce to the game first. It was clearly made with students in mind. The versatility of the games and the different levels in which to play allow us to use the game with a broad range of ages and abilities. The students seem to enjoy playing the games and have requested to play. Overall, highly recommended. I can see this game being a mainstay in my practice.

Loved it!
Playing this game was a lot of fun for our worrying kid. She enjoyed playing with it and felt it really helped her to face some of the issues she's struggling with. This is what she had to say about it: "Playing CBT is a fun and creative way that helped me understand how I feel and behave in certain ways, and what I should think or do to about that. I enjoyed Playing CBT not just because of its helpful content, but also because it's aesthetic presentation and packaging that made me want to play it. I appreciated the clear and well-thought instructions and the nice look and feel of the game pieces. It helped me be able to fully understand what the game is trying to teach me. Also, I enjoyed that Playing CBT is actually a variety of games in one box. The different games address different issues that may suit different kids, each kid with what he or she needs to address. I think Playing CBT is a fun, creative, well-thought out and effective way to teach and help kids like me to understand themselves better and to do something positive about it. I highly recommend it."

Excellent game for therapists!
This is an excellent game! I am an educational psychologist and use this with my students. Several colleagues raved about it, which is what led me to buy the game in the first place. There are multiple ways to play the game and use the materials to individualize to the students needs. This game helps kids build awareness of the connection between their thoughts, feelings and behaviors in a fun, interactive way. There are lots of cards where the child or the adult can create situations to tailor to the child's experience. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

great CBT game
I am an out-patient therapistI and work with a wide age range of youth. As far as CBT games, this game is fantastic. I love that it has so many different ways to play it, making it applicable to therapy with youth of different ages and different cognitive levels. The basic versions utilize varying combinations of Situation, Negative Thought, Emotions, and Behavior cards, while others include the Coping Thought, Body Sensations, and Thinking Errors/Cognitive Distortions. I have also utilized some of the cards during therapeutic discussions, having youth choose cards that match thier experiences, with clients who want to talk rather than play games. The Tokens add a reward component, and Task cards add a littlle bit of unpredictibility that keeps the interesting, as well. With that being said, I have 3 small complaints: 1) while the box is super solid, it seems to come apart at the seems very easily, 2) blank cards, on which you can write (with the special erasable marker that comes with it) your own examples, of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, etc, do not fully erase, and 3) the grammar on many of the cards (e,g,. how situations are stated and the tense of the emotions - "happiness" rather than "happy") is a bit confusing for kids. Overall, I would recommend this for any clinician who uses CBT with youth.

This is a must for CBT practitioners.
This is a must for CBT practitioners. Kids honestly love this and there are many ways to play. You can use it in-person, but also just use the cards for telehealth. I love this when talk gets a little slow.

Used product not new
This is a very good versatile game with detailed instructions on how to play and talking points for each game. The only reason I rated lower was because the game I received had a ripped box, some of the cards had already been open, and there was animal hair all over the inside of it. I expected to have a new product for the price.

Wonderful games in one package! Very professional.
You can see that this was well made and planned for its purpose. As soon as you open the box you can see that the game set is made to last! It’s seems like They thought on every small detail In the game. At the beginning I had thoughts of spending so much money on a game, but it’s 100% worth it. You get so many deferent games in the box, my boys love it !!! They get to express a lot threw this game that I haven’t seen in any other game. Its one of the very few games that gets my kids of the screen so it’s worth every penny for me. And that’s why I highly recommend it.

Definitely worth purchasing!
I was contemplating to buy the game because of price but once I started using game i realized how useful it is when working one on one or in groups. Great quality and there are so many different ways to use the game depending on the child I am working with. The kids enjoy this game and it makes learning about feelings and social skills fun! The therapists in my office are often asking where it is as they have enjoyed using it also. I’m a therapy assistant and use it in many different groups, it’s always a successful tool.

I love this game!!
I’m a teacher at a mainstream school and I work with groups of children who are on the Autism spectrum. We play this game to help identify feelings, learn how to regulate them and to improve social skills. The kids love the game and it’s so easy to follow. The cards and graphics are of great quality. This game has become a staple in my group sessions. The game is a definite must-have!

The instructor book pages is not in the right order
I was so excited to receive the game since this game can play in multiple ways and is a useful tool when working with children. However, the instruction book pages are not in the right order… page 2 then page 14… and it is upside down…. It should be the bookbinding issues but it is impacting my experience…. :(
