The trick to warm hands is to avoid gloves that are too tight. Hestras are "over-sized" and leave ample enought lovely space for warm air. I've worn the traditional Hestra gloves for years and love them, but now I'm free to ski daily and to ski all day long at a resort with slow lifts and gloves were no longer keeping my hands warm enough. The "claw" mitten took some adjusting to and breaking in. I used the glove "goop" that came with the mittens to soften them up and improve the grip. Having the index finger free is enough to provide the dexterity to use my helmet and boot buckles well. I can ski open to close on a windy, cloudy, below zero day and my hands stay comfortable. Now I just wish there were Hestra's for my feet.

Might get better with wear but quite stiff which impedes dexterity and defeats the purpose of split finger mitten/glove. High quality construction. Nice that they include a tube of leather conditioner to help waterproof. Removable liner is great feature.

I took these gloves with me when I went Heli Skiing in Alaska. They are warm, wicks away moisture and easy to take on and off. Highly Recommend!

I would never get another glove, the crab claw made it so easy for snow mobile days. They kept my hands warm and dry all day long and even come with a little leather conditioner

They run a size to big, after inspection they don’t seem worth that kind of money to me. And I’m a multi millionaire

First pair was too small, the return was simple and easy and the next size up fits perfectly. I do not have good circulation in my hands so a zippered pocket on the back side to hold heat packs would be awesome. Otherwise, fit and finish are top notch,

Great gloves. Toasty warm. The fabric could be more waterproof, but they’re super for cold dry conditions.
