Herman Miller Aeron Chairs Basic

I love this chair! After years of searching, I finally found the most comfortably supportive chair for my bad back!

If you're 6'1" like me, this chair is a bit small. It's not too hard to put together, but could use much clearer directions. Ergonomics are fine, but the size makes it not perfect, which for the price, it should be.

I sat on a slightly smaller (I'm guessing the B) version of this chair at work for years, and wanted one for my home office. I bought the larger C version for my home, and I'm glad I did. I'm 6'0" 190 and this is the perfect size for me. The seat is wider and comes out further so the lip doesn't hit you mid-thigh. The back is also higher and wider. Since the chair is mesh, it's much more comfortable to sit on than leather on warm days, or for extended periods of time. The material for the meshing is extremely durable. Had I not sat on one for years at work, I probably would not have opted for a chair that's this expensive. After 5 years of comfortable use, I can tell you it's worth every penny. On occasion, I spend 16-hour days in this chair with absolutely no fatigue (not from the chair anyway!).

Chair came in one box with the base and backrest separate from each other.4 screws (star bolts) are used to attach back rest to chair base - 5 minutes with the right tool which IS NOT included.Do not pay for professional assembly - that would be a total rip off.About the chair. I am writing this within 30 minutes of using so I may update my review.Height adjustment works great.forward lean or backward tilt tension knob doesn't do a thing as far as I can tell which is why it gets 3 stars.I am a man with a 38" waist so size B is perfect for my butt. If I was any bigger or a girl with shapely hips I would suggest the larger size.Comfort and support seem ok (day one) but I already inserted a lower lumbar pad to support my lower back.

This is a beautiful chair, worth every dollar you pay for it. All sorts of adjustments. Great wheels. Sturdy and comfortable.

I have owned the model with lumbar support for more than 12 years. I am a writer and editor and I sit it in it every day. Given how much sitting I have done, I would say it has saved me from many back problems. I did not buy online. Mine came setup. I highly recommend this chair. No product is perfect for everyone, so all I can say is that this chair has been perfect for me. Best thing I ever bought myself. Quite likely it will serve you well too.
