Q: How long is the adjustable strap?! The other Sklon (without backpack) says it can extend out to 9 feet.

Thanks for pointing this out, the backpack harness has the same exact length as our original harness @ 9' feet fully extended.

Q: Can this backpack fit a pair of kids boots?

If you mean ski boots, then probably not. It’s got some spare room, enough for goggles, gloves, and things that size.

Q: If you aren’t using the straps, can they be stored (or removed) out of the way of the child skiing?

Yes, you can disconnect them and store them in the backpack. I also was able to leave them connected and stuff them in the backpack so we could ride up the chairlift easier without dealing with the straps.

Q: Is there a loop in the middle of the harness, like the one without a backpack? I only want to control speed and use 1 strap

Excellent observation, the loop is in fact there. It is tucked away on the underside of the backpack harness. See a quick video demonstrating the loop location. It was essential to clip it to the heavy-duty back as opposed to the front of the material. Just like our original model the loop is secured with several bar-tac connections and reinforced with additional backing. Hope this helps :)
