Perfectly Balanced!
Haven’t actually fished it yet but it’s my second rod purchased from moonshine. My most recent purchase was a 7wt @ 10’ Drifter 2. Put the reel on the 7wt today and tested its pivot point for balance and it’s spot on where it should be. Casted it over the lawn and it feels great.I think the way Moonshine is able to keep the cost low on the drifter one & 2 (maybe other models) is that they’re made in China which can be problematic but to me both rods fell like high quality & if I was to put it next to a USA built rod I don’t think I would know the difference. Extra tip could come in handy. Gotta love that. Can’t wait to get after some steelhead in the west. Well done Moonshine.

Moonshine 7wt drifter
Can't say how much I love this rod. The 7wt is perfect for the great lake steelhead I fish. Well made, smooth casting, great backbone for bigger fish. I've had it for nearly a year and have caught many on it. Highly recommend

Great rod!
This is my second drifter. First was a 8'6" 4wt. Liked it so much that I purchased a 10' 7wt. The rod casts really well. Will be using it mostly for stillwater on my float tube.

Great Rod, Great Company
I bought the 9’ 5wt Drifter 2 as a go to fly rod for trout. The rod quality is very good for the price. It casts well and is very versatile. I really appreciate the extra rod tip section in case I break one. So far so good! I can say Moonshine has excellent customer service and stands behind their product. After using the rod for several months, I noticed the cork handle wasn’t as good as I would have expected. I suspected that I just got a bad piece of cork so I took pictures and emailed Moonshine. They responded the same day and then shipped out a whole new butt section the next day. Not many companies stand behind their product like this. Thanks Moonshine!! You have me as a customer for life!
